I woke up as the room filled with sunlight. I open my eyes and look around. My body was on the floor, and my legs on the couch. Lily's legs were on the couch. Her body was somehow partly under the table. The blanket was wrapped around her torso. How she found that comfortable I had no idea.

I get up and stretch. I stumble out of the living room and go up the ancient stairs. They creaks under my weight. Which isn't really comforting. I walk into my room and grab a pair of dark jeans, and a black shirt with a faded picture on it. I grab undies and a bra before heading to the bathroom.

I walk in and close the door. The first thing I do is use the toilet. When I was done that I wash my hands and start the shower. The shower sputters a bit before it actually works. I turn the handle as far as it would go. If you don't do that the water will be cold. I take off my shoes and the dagger falls. I pick it up and set it on the counter before I jump in. I take a quick shower so I don't use up all of the hot water.

When I was done, I turn off the shower and get out. I dry myself off and change. I half-ass dry my hair with the towel before letting it air dry. I brush my teeth. I pull on my tall boots and shove the dagger back inside. When I was done with the bathroom, I walk out and go into my room. I hang the towel and put my clothes on top of the dresser. I walk downstairs and go into the living room.

"Lily, you'll be late for school." She grunts. "Lillian, wake up!"

She lifts her head and bangs in on the table. She lets out a loud swear as she rubs her head. She gets out from under the table, and climbs on the couch.

"That really hurt."

"You're the one that slept under the table." I say as I walk out. I hear doors opening and close upstairs, telling me that Derek and Arie are up. I walk into the kitchen and go to the sink. I run the water and add soap. I quickly clean the dishes that are in the sink. When they were done, I leave them on the counter on a towel to dry.

When I was done with that, I start to take out food for breakfast. I make it simple and just do omelets with cheese. I also make toast and sausages and bacon. When I was partly done Derek and Arie walk in. Derek butters the toast as Arie gets out the juice. I finish and put the omelets on plates.

Everyone walks to the table with plates. When the table was all set Loly walks in and sits down. Everyone puts toast and meat on their plate.

"Do you have to work tonight?" Lily asks.

I nod my head and swallow my food. "Ya, but it's only for two hours."

"Why so short?" Derek asks.

"Because I'm just covering for Adam." I explain. They nod their head and go back to eating. When everyone was we start to clean up the kitchen. The day was sunny so we graves out bags and went outside.

We all started to throw a ball around as we wait for everyone to show up. Group A was the first to show, which was a surprise because usually group D is the first. Taylor and Jack join in. Lily and me keep passing the ball around as Derek leaves. Group E was next to show up. Jorden joins in. Some of the kids that are a couple years older than the little kids are kicking a ball around.

It wasn't long before group B showed up. I leave the group and walk toward Derek, Maya, Dylan, and Mike. Maya was one of group E's leader. Mike and Dylan are group B's leaders. Dylan juts out his chin to me, as she runs a hand over his shaved dark hair. "So Derek tells us that you had a run in with wilds last night."

I shrug my shoulders. "Ya why?"

"It's just surprising that you're still alive." Maya comments as she has her arm on Dylan's shoulder.

I laugh. "Tell me about it. I'm still trying to figure out why they didn't rip me apart. I even ran from them." When the he words were out of my mouth, I got slapped on the back of my head from Derek and disapproving looks from the other three. I rub the spot I was smacked. "Thanks asshole."

"You really shouldn't be alive." Mile says breaking the silence.

"Ya I know. No need to pick on me for doing something stupid."

"Stupid?" Maya scoffs. "That should have cost you your life. That wasn't just stupid, that was a stupid mistake."

"I know." I look around, and I still don't see any sign of group D. I look at my watch. It's was almost 9:00. "We're do you think they are?"

Mike shrugs his shoulders. "I don't know, maybe they had trouble getting the kids up."

"Ya but with the wilds hanging around last night, it could be anything."

"Alright we can't just sit around and wait. So two people from each of the groups will go and check out their house." Derek announced.

I stuck two fingers in my mouth to get everyone's attention. Everyone stops what they're doing and looks at us. "Two people from each group will come with us over to group D's house."

Maya stays with us as Dylan walks to the bigger group. Baily walks up to us and stands beside Milk. Ashton walks up and stands beside Maya. Mayla and Mike walk towards us.

"We'll be back." I say.

"If you hear screaming get weapons out." Baily jokes. Mike nudged her with his elbow as we walk away. "Way to scare the little ones.

"What? I'm being serious. We have no clue as to what's going to be there."

We got there in six minutes, considering they live a couple of houses down from us. This maybe a subdivision, but each house has a big yard so it takes a while to get to the group's houses. Once we got to D's house we were all on high alert. We slowly made our way up the driveway, then the front deck. Everyone looked like they were about to jump out of their skin. All joking was gone, and the air was filled with tense.

I was in the front. I slowly make my way to the front door, when I noticed that it was already open. I stopped and looked around, before I opened it further, I looked inside and I could feel the blood draining from my face, my head felt light, my stomach uneasy. I heard someone scream from behind me, and another throwing up, but I could not tear not eyes away from what was before me.
