Wednesday, 10 days until the ball
I'm standing in the middle of a forest. I look up at the sky, and see the moon shining bright. I look around, trying to get my bearings. I shrug my shoulders, and start off in a random direction. I keep on tripping on something as I walk. I look down, only to see that I'm wearing a black puffy dress. It's strapless, and I feel fabric brushing against my back.
Well that's odd.
I shake my head, but keep walking. Ignoring the fact that I'm wearing a dress, and don't know where I am. I keep walking aimlessly around. My ears perk up at the sound of water trickling. I walk towards the sound, tripping over my dress on the way.
The trees clear, and I see a stream, or ravine splitting the forest apart. A mountain speaks up from the behind the tree line. Rocks of all sizes are beside the flowing river, some are in the water, and some aren't.I walk towards the water, being careful not to trip. I crouch down and put my hand in the cold water, watching the it flow. My head snaps up, as I hear something moving across the steam. I squint my eyes trying to see what made the noise. I stand up and take a couple steps in the water, trying to see what's out there.
When I'm about to give up. I see the one thing that's been haunting me these past couple days. I see the one thing that's always on my mind.
I see the green eyes.
I bolt up in bed. My eyes dart around the room, taking in the sun shining through the open window, and the curtains blowing.
I take deep breaths as my heart rate slows back to normal. I rub my eyes and give a dry laugh.
"It was all just a dream." I say to no one in particular. My voice spreading out and covering everything in the room.
I flop back in my bed with my arm draped over my eyes. How can these damn eyes haunt me? Everytime I turn around, I expect to see them. It ridiculous! My life can't be run by green eyes that I saw in a vision! I'll go crazy! Though, I'm already part way there, so these eyes could be the push I need to send me all the way.
There's a pounding on my door. I give a loud grunt in response. They knock again. I groan and roll over on my bed, face in the pillows. "Come in!" I yell into the pillows, knowing that they'll hear me.
The door opens, and the room is filled with chatter, and laughter. I lift my face from the pillow, hoping that I'll see green eyes. But the world hates me, and I see Rea, Anna, Krytlen, Cress, and Genevieve-or Eve as she likes to be called. They stop laughing, and talking when they see me. I put my face back in the pillows.
"Damn girl, what crawled up your ass this morning?" Anna asked me.
I reply with a loud groan."There are children in the room!" Eve says.
There was a snort, and a laugh. "She already knows the words. She'll speak them if she's pissed enough."
There was a bounce on the bed. "Ya, its true!" Krytlen says.
Their was more bouncing, which made me groan. Again.
I heard a sigh, but didn't lift my head to see who it was from.
"Alright, what's the matter? You've been off ever since training yesterday." Anna tells me.
I just bury my head in the pillows farther, and grunt.
