10. Fun Times

Saturday

"Please come back to San Francisco with me." Maddy pleaded to me. I giggled at the sound of his voice, his begging making him sound like a teenage girl. "Why should I?" "Because you love me!" "Yeah, I love you but give me another reason."

"Hmm." He says as he pulls me into his arms, my back pressed against his chest. "Maybe because you miss everyone else?" "You have a point there." He rests his head in the crook of my neck and we stand there like that for a while. "You know," I begin. "If Im going back to San Fran with you, I really need to go pack." He tosses me over his shoulder and heads up the stairs, causing me to giggle.

"You better help me pack." I say as Maddy sets me down in front of my closet. "Really?" He whines as he lays down on my bed. "Yeah, now come on and grab a suitcase." We began to pack my clothes, and soon enough, all my things were packed. Maddy pulled me down onto the bed and wrapped his arms around me.

My phone rang and I answered it, putting it on speaker phone. "Hello?" A scream rang through the phone and I jumped. "Guys! She answered the phone!" Matt screamed to everyone else, then the phone was shuffled around. "Never do that again!" Buster screamed into the phone, causing me to laugh. "What's up guys?"

"Have you seen Madison? None of us can find him and he isn't answering his phone." Maddy stiffles a laugh by nuzzling his head in the crook of my neck. "I don't know, I might have." "Tell him to call us!" Someone shouts and Maddy begins to laugh. "What do you want guys?" He says, revealing himself.

"Madison!" They shout, causing me to laugh again. "Yeah, Im here." "Wait." Hunter starts "Are you guys dating again?" "We might be." Screaming and hollering fill our ears. "About damn time!" Mercy says and everyone agrees with her. "Are you coming back to San Fran?" "Yeah, I'll be back."

After talking to them for a while, I hang up my phone and rest my head on Maddy's chest. I was almost asleep when I hear "Im so glad you forgave me." Maddy said it in what sounded like a whisper, Im guess because he thought I was asleep and he didn't want to awaken me.

"I thought you wouldn't come back with me. That you would want to stay here and I would have to beg and try to convince you." He began to play with my hair. "Thank you for forgiving me baby girl, I love you."

When I woke up, the sun was shining and the clock said 7:16 AM. Maddy's was snoring, telling me he was still asleep. Without waking him up, I slipped out of his arms and into my closet. Grabbing some jean shorts and a tanktop, I get dressed and walk downstairs. I slipped on my boots and went outside to the barn.

I never got to finish cleaning up the other day, so that's what Im gonna do. Random pieces of metal and other things were lying around, so I picked them up and stacked them against the wall. It didn't take long to finish cleaning, so I went back inside the house and started to cook breakfast. I put some biscuits in the oven and then started making sausage gravy, for biscuits & gravy.

"What smells so good?" Maddy asks as he walks into the kitchen. "Breakfast." I handed him his bowl and we ate our breakfast. "Let's go." Maddy says after we finish eating. He drags me out of the house and to his truck. "Where are we going?" I squeal as I climb into his truck. "You'll see!"

"Maddy! I can't see anything!" "That's the point!" He had put a blindfold over my eyes and now I couldn't see anything. "Alright." He stops the truck and gets out, then comes to help me. Setting his hands on my waist, he leads me somewhere.

"You can take the blindfold off now." Slipping it off my face, I gasp. "Maddy." He had brought me to the baseball field at South Caldwell. "Surprise." He pulls me into his chest and holds me. "Thought maybe we could remember all the memories we had here." The memories quickly flooded my mind.

First baseball game I watched Maddy play in when Sam asssumed Maddy and I were dating.
After School baseball practice.
The day of Prom when we took pictures at the field.

Those were only some of the memories I remembered. I sighed as I enjoyed being here in Maddy's arms. "I love you Bri." Maddy said as he placed a gentle kiss to my neck. "I love you too Maddy."
