11. Welcome Back To SF

"Madison, babe you have to wake up." I ran my fingers through his messy hair, hoping that would wake him up. We had to leave for San Francisco later today, and the last minute things still needed to be packed.

A groan left his lips and he rolled over, his back facing me. I laughed at him and continued to run my fingers through his hair. "Babe, please wake up." He didn't budge, so I laid down next to him. Wrapping my arms around his body, I hug him tightly. "Maddy, wake up before I leave you here." He rolls over and faces me. "Do I have to wake up?" "Yeah babe, you have to." I place a kiss to his lips before crawling back out of the bed.

Arms wrap around my waist and a head is laid on my shoulder. "You can go back to sleep on the plane babe." He groans, causing me to smile. "You'll survive Maddy, now go take a shower." He places a kiss to my neck before walking away. After he took a shower, he came back into the kitchen and we ate breakfast before we finished packing.

"Madison, give me my boots back!" I shouted as Maddy held my boots about his head, out of my reach. "Nah, I think I'll keep them. Maybe give them to Joe or Kelby as a gift."  A frown comes to my face as I cross my arms. "Well then maybe I'll stay here instead." He drops my boots and I pick them up. "Alright, you win Bri."

~~~~~~~~Skipping To When They Get To San Francisco~~~~~~~~~~

The California heat hit us as soon as we stepped off the plane. I took the flannel I was wearing off, leaving me in a white tanktop to match my jean shorts. A car horn was honked, causing Madison and I to look up. There was Matt Duffy in his car, with Buster Posey, Hunter Pence and Brandon Crawford along for the ride.

"Brittany, I swear. You ever run off like that again and it won't be good." Brandon says as he pulled me into a hug. I let out a laugh before replying to him. "I won't, I promise." After giving Matt, Buster and Hunter hugs, we pile our belongings into the car and headed towards home.

Maddy and I unpacked our things, then walked outside to see the guys in the pool. I slid my shoes off and sat by the edge of the pool, sticking my feet in the cool water. "The rest of the guys are on their way." Matt said before Cannon-Balling into the pool, causing me to be soaking wet. I groan before standing up and walking inside to change.

I decided to put my swimsuit on, just incase that happened again. Grabbing a towel and sunglasses, I walked back outside. Brandon Belt and Joe Panik had joined the group in the pool, while George Kontos and his girlfriend Abigail were walking in the fence, having just arrived. Soon, music was blaring and the entire team, and their significant others, had arrived to the 'party'.

Once the sun began to sink, people climbed out of the pool. They all walked inside the house and filled the living room, where Kelby Tomlinson and Hunter Strickland were arguing over what movie to watch. "I want to watch Paranormal Activity 3!" Kelby shouted while Hunter shouted "Well, I want to watch Avengers!"

I sighed and walked over to them, took the movies and grabbed a different one. "We're gonna watch Dumb and Dumber To, now go sit down." They mutter under their breaths, but sit down in the floor. I roll my eyes and sit down next to Maddy, laying my head in his lap. His fingers run through my hair and soon I, along with everyone else, am asleep.

A terrifying nightmare woke me up, and luckily I didn't scream and wake everyone else up. The clock said 2:17, and snores still filled the room. Quickly and quietly, I walked upstairs to the master bedroom and laid down on the bed. I was hoping to calm down and go back to sleep, but sleep was not anywhere near. Sighing, I tossed and turned until, luckily, I fell back to sleep.

"I found her!" Someone shouts, causing me to jerk awake. I screamed in fear, thinking the horrible nightmare was coming true. Maddy runs in and pulls me into a hug, trying to calm me down. "It's okay Bri, I've got you." He rocks me back-and-forth, and eventually, I calm down enough to speak. "What was it baby? Was it another nightmare?" I nod my head and he hugs me tighter. "Is that why you came in here to sleep last night?" Again, I nodded my head.

He wiped the tears off my face and left a kiss on my forehead. "Go take a shower and calm down some more. Alright?" I nod my head and stand up, walking into the bathroom so I could shower.

I threw on a pair of shorts and one of Madison's old shirts, then walked downstairs. The house was abnormally quiet, which confused me. "Everyone left." Maddy said as he pulled me into his chest. "Was it the same nightmare as before?" "Yeah." I shakily say, as if my voice wouldn't work.

"There has to be a reason you keep having it." "I don't know." The dream and its memories begin to flood my head, and soon Im crying again. "It's okay Bri." He picks me up and carries me to the couch. By now, Im a sobbing mess. He sits me in his lap and rubs my back. "Let it out baby. Crying is good for you."

Once I quit crying, Maddy grabbed a blanket and laid down next to me. Turning on the TV, we see The Sandlot is on. We watch it, and soon Im fast asleep. Only this time, no nightmare woke me up.
