*bows to readers* My apprentices.... I have taught you everything I know. Now, you will use this information to do good in the world.
But before I set you free, let's review and add on to what we've learned. Here are a few last things not to do in your fanfictions!
-Don't threaten to kill celebrities (or, if you must, do so politely). Suggesting murder is typically not a good idea, especially because that can hurt you when you're rich and famous, later on.
-Don't forget to respect the privacy of real existing people. Celebs are people too (yet another reasons why you probably shouldn't publicly declare your plans to kill them. Whoops.)
-Don't be a user of clichés. Come on. You're better than that, and we both know it.
-Don't forget that if you ignore the advice above (as I have), you'll have to work extra hard to make your story stand out.
-Don't be afraid to smash walls and change things up. Go outside of clichés and feel free to change what you want to change. That's your liberty as a writer. Congratulations!
-Don't, however, and I beg you, butcher the personalities of characters (especially when writing romance) and work hard to maintain the magic of the orginal book. It'll be worth the effort, trust me. I know these things as a trashy fanfic reader.
-Don't fall back on damsels in distress to make romance happen. It ain't Medieval times anymore, folks (I can tell because there are no dragons anywhere, currently. It's disappointing. Like very).
-Don't forget to work hard and love what you do. Writing is really cool, y'all. You can create and destroy worlds. Love that power. Embrace it. Use it. It will benefit you, and you will have the time of your life. *cue music and I think we all know which song*
-Don't use ugly grammar because it'll freak people out, okay??? People will like your stories much more and will be more willing to take a chance on your writing if it looks polished. I can promise that, as someone who has noped out of many stories with poor grammar.
-Don't give up on covers and descriptions. At least try. People will judge a book by its cover, so it's worth the effort to make these things look good. And if you lack the skills to make a decent cover, then ask around. I know plenty of friendos willing to make beautiful covers. Help is available.
-Don't forget to update once in a while. If life happens, it's good, but writing is healthy for you, and you owe it to yourself to rock many epic chapters. It's okay if you can't, but you'll feel good if you do, and also abandoning projects (completely forgetting about them like the piece of trash me) is not cool.
-Don't be a hypocrite like me. I never update. So try your hardest not be like me. Really. Try. I dare you.
-Don't let the rage consume you. Anger leads to the Dark Side. So when you write your rant books, or your random books, tell a few jokes once in a while. It'll help with being optimistic (ew, I know), and make everything a little more enjoyable. People like jokes. I mean they have to actually be funny, but humor can usually improve all sorts of situations.
-Don't forget that everything must end. Beloved book series, sequels to those series, sequels to those sequels... and those random rant books on Wattpad too. But that's okay. That's just how it goes.
Finally, don't ever forget to thank your amazing readers who put up with your rage and laugh at your bad jokes.
Each one of you rock, and I am so very grateful to have people listening to me rant. I hope you learned something, I hope you a fun or at least moderately enjoyable time reading this book.
So, my friends, fellow ragers, I thank you, one last time. It's been an honor.
-Jordie ❤

What Not To Do in Your Fanfictions
RandomWow, look at this! Don't you hate it when your title is equivalent to your description? Because I do too. It's slightly unprofessional, just like all the other things I rant about in this book... -- PLEASE NOTE: (as of 2019) I was much younger when...
