WANTED: Sperm Donor

Chapter 4

I flipped my hair back as I studied my reflection in a full length mirror. I expelled a heavy breath. I can't understand why I am having a cold feet for this meeting. I want out. Pero hindi ko pwedeng palampasin ang pagkakataon. Hindi ko rin pwedeng ipagpasawalang bahala ang mga ari-arian ng mga magulang ko. Higit sa lahat napakahirap hagilapin ng lalaking iyon. It took Paige two long weeks to locate and find his whereabouts.

As planned, I instructed Paige to inform my chosen sperm donor of the place where we can meet but he refused. Do you hear me? He REFUSED! Holy f*ck! Nobody dare to refuse my preposition since I learn how to say a word. He was the first man who ever did that and it made me fuming mad in my whole life.

My car stopped at the bay. It was already sunset. Nag-aagaw na ang liwanag at dilim sa paligid and I can't help but to admire the scenic view of the sun settling down to give way to stars and moon do their duties. The door on my side cracked open and saw a middle-aged man holding out his hand as I stepped out slowly. I grab his hand and he assisted me to my feet.

"Good evening Señorita." He greeted and bowed his head. His Spanish accent caught my ears.

"Good evening." Pormal kong sagot trying to hide my anxiety.

"This way please...." He ushered me to a man-made walk path directing to my opposite direction. My eyes landed on a white thing at the edge. Hindi ko makita ang kabuuhan due to leaves of ornamental plants blocking my view. I held my breath when white, fine yacht appear before my eyes. He smiled at me.

"Mr. Almendras was already on-board Señorita." I shook my head nervously. When I didn't say a word. The man smiled wider.

It was a very very fine yacht. Hindi man ako mahilig sa dagat it doesn't mean na hindi ko kayang mag-appreciate ng mga bagay pangkaragatan. My memory with the sea was horrible. I don't want to remember those nightmares back as much as possible.

"Señorita?" The man offered his hand again. His eyes saying that I should go on board too.

"I- I can't bear to be in that thing." I whispered. I took few steps backward. The man look surprised which later turn into a frown.

"I'm sorry. Can I meet Mr. Almendras somewhere else?" I asked restlessly. Hindi ko mawari ang nararamdaman ko. My thalassophobia is eating me. My heart started to palpitate. Para akong mauubusan ng hangin sa baga and I can't do anything about it but to catch my breath. I can't exactly remember when was the last time I allow myself near the ocean, sea or lake. Pero hindi ako natatakot maligo sa pool. Just in the goddamn large bodies of water.

"Why don't you want to discuss your business with me over the sunset Ms. de Alonzo?" Lalong nagpalpitate ang puso ko sa boses na iyon. It was very manly and yet pleasant in the ears. You can't imagined how my heart rate went faster this time. Holy cow! Papatayin ba ako ng isang ito?

Tumingin ako sa pinanggalingan ng boses. I saw built of a man leaning over the railings and was looking down at me. Nasa likuran niya ang papalubog na araw at hindi ko makita ang mukha niya. Only his figure. His masculine, fine figure. I placed my right hand over my head to accommodate me a better view of him and when I did he was no longer there. Asan na 'yun?

"Looking for me Ms. de Alonzo? I hope you didn't find my place boring." There was this manly voice again. I removed my hand in my head as the figure started to walk approaching me. Lumalamig na ang hangin sa paligid at nililipad ang floral dress ko. Ngayon, gusto ko narin batukan ang sarili ko sa suot kong damit. I'm wearing a bare back floral dress.

I got the chance of studying this man while he's making his way towards me. He's literally tall, mukha na siyang matangkad sa profile niyang pinakita ni Paige pero di hamak na matangkad ito sa personal. Kaya naman pala halos magmakaawa na sa akin ang magaling kong sekretarya na makipagkita dito sa lalong madaling panahon at mukhang iyon pa ang excited sa aming dalawa. He looks dashing in his white long sleeves with few buttons opened right on his chest which reveals his well-toned muscles and fine chest hairs. Biglang nanuyo ang lalamunan ko. Tigang lang ang peg ay!
