"Where the hell have you been?" I asked Fate. His real name was John, but since he had the uncanny ability to see the future, we called him Fate. "Around. I wanted to save a dog from being run over." He was neither angel nor demon. There are other things, creatures that defy definition, like him. None of us know where he's from, and neither does he. He just started following us one day, said I intrigued him. "And you couldn't tell me that was going to happen?" "No, there are rules." "You changed the future when you saved that dog." "I knew I was going to do that."

I face palmed. He claimed there were tons of rules that you had to follow, but if he knew he was going to break one, it was allowed. "Sup, ass hat." Fate looked at Dan. "I thought you were gonna be in Manhattan." "I was actually in you're mom." Dan was the immature, idiotic, one. We stayed there a bit, assessing the situation. Then something changed. The water in front of me froze and I saw a pair of eyes stare out. Suddenly a massive crocodile type thing leapt out. It looked like a crock, except it was ten times bigger, it was pure black, and it breathed fire. "Fate, the hell is that?"

We all sprang up and got ready. Natasha used a scythe, I used dual swords, Dan used a axe, and fate used a pistol. We each had our own iconic weapon. "I have no clue, but it is a demon." "What do we do?" He looked confused. "I have no clue, I can't see anything past, Delsin?" I ignored him and got ready to fight. My swords were twin. Both a cross between a rapier and scimitar. One was called Bloodthirst, one was called Daybreak. Gifts from my parents. "I say we kill it." I smiled. Combat was a place I felt sane. The thing growled. "I usually don't condone violence-" "said the girl with the massive scythe." Tasha glare at me. "But let's end this thing." I made the first move, dashed forward and aimed for the head.

I was unstoppable in a fight. Bloodthirst hit first, crunching through its skull. Daybreak cutting into its gut. Tasha sliced at its leg and Dan slice its tail clean off. Fate fired a few shots into its side as I lifted it off the ground. "My first time killing you in public. And it was far too easy." I pulled Daybreak out of its gut and stabbed it into its neck. I pulled and ripped its head straight off. Then a shriek came from nearby. I spun around and saw a human girl standing there, shocked. "Oh come on!" I shouted.

One trick I also have is the ability to place mortals in suspended animation, they can do anything but move. I froze her and turned around. "So, now what?" Dan looked at me. "Kill her." "Can we not." I looked at them both. "I'm gonna shut you both up before you start arguing and ask Fate. Fate?" He looked at her. "Let her live." "But erase her memory. I can do that, right guys?" Dan looked at me. "Yes. In theory. To do that you'd be touching her soul, which has never been done." I facepalmed. "You're a idiot. Tasha?" She looked over and mussed with her hair. "I guess we could let her live, who's gonna believe the story anyways?" Then I piped up. "Then it's settled! She lives!! I wish I was better at watching my powers. "Um, may I interject?" I turned around and saw her standing there. "Oh for gods sake!"
