"I'm home!"

As soon as he put his suitcase down, 6-year old Melissa came running down the stairs, stopping on the final two steps with her arms up. He chuckled before rolling his sleeves up while walking towards her. When he got to the end of the staircase, she leaped for him and he caught her promptly, showering his little girl with kisses after.

"How was your day, sweetheart?" He asked as they walked towards the kitchen.

"It was great! I got 2 gold stars from school today and Mommy helped me bake sugar cookies when she picked me up, right Mom?" Melissa wiggled out of his dad's grasp as soon as they got to their kitchen to grab the container full of cookies to offer him one. He gladly took one after pecking the lips of his wife, Mikaela, who was busy preparing their supper.

"Wow this is really good! Almost as good as your mom's!" The six-year-old's face lit up with his father's remark.

"Did you hear that Mommy? Someday, I can be a chef like you too!" Mikaela laughed while nodding her head.

"Supper's ready!"

The three of them washed their hands before making their way to the dining area. Melissa said grace before they all dove in. After dinner, Mikaela got Melissa ready for bed while her husband washed the dishes. They don't have a maid and they didn't bother getting one since Mikaela only works in the morning anyway, when Melissa is at school.

"Which story do you want, sweetie?" She asked her six-year-old after tucking her in.

"I wanna hear your love story Mommy!" Mikaela giggled before nodding her head and laying down beside Melissa.

This isn't the first time Mikaela's gonna tell her daughter about her and her husband's love story. The little girl adored their love story so much, she wishes to have her own 'fairytale' too, just like what her parents have. She tells her parents that she dreams of finding a guy like her dad, but of course, they would tell her that she's still too young to be thinking about those things.

Mikaela smiled as she reminisced her and her husband's love story. She played with Melissa's hair before telling her daughter how she got her happily ever after.

"Your daddy and I ..."
