Katie closed her eyes in shock, "Korina, if you're lying to me-" Korina hit Katie's shoulder, "Why would I lie about something like this!" Katie opened her eyes and glared, "I don't know! To get back at me-" Korina laughed, "For dumping my boyfriend for me?" Katie shrugged, "Yeah I guess." Korina shoved the pan onto a unlit burner and chuckled, "Not really me." Katie stood for the island stool and walked towards the fridge, asking Korina what she needed. "I need you to stay calm for this next part. Oh and pickles, lettuce, cucumbers and basil." Katie grabbed zero of those things as she let the fridge shut, "I'm sorry? Stay calm for what?"

Korina looked at the fridge and sighed, grabbing the letter out of her back pocket and throwing it in the opposite direction, so the fridge was open to get to. She grabbed what she needed and watched as Katie's eyes went wide, "What is that?!" As soon as she dove for the letter, Cassie pushed through the door, her hair crazy and her eyes closed. "My god it smells good in here!" She said, sitting on the stool, her bag dropping to the ground. "What's for dinner?" Korina watched Katie tear the letter open, and answered, "Chicken Caesar salad." Cassie nodded in understanding and did a double take, staring at her sister, "What's up with her?" Korina smiled slightly, Shutting the stove off. "Niall," She said. It was a simple word, but Cassie freaked out; just as Katie had when Korina told her what happened.

Cassie slid down from the chair and went to the stove, making her plate. "It's your dishes tonight Cass." Korina stated, grabbing a bowl and drizzling dressing over her steaming chicken salad. "Dammit, but I had a date tonight." Korina shook her head, "Hell, no. You make me listen to that shit again it'll be your dishes every night, got it?" Cassie set her plate down next to the stove, putting a hand on her hip, "What? That's not fair and you know it!" She stated hastily. Korina shrugged. "At least have the decency of telling the people you live with that you'll be having sex all night. I mean, just a little heads up. That's all I'm asking for." Cassie mumbled under her breath as she mixed barbecue into her salad. "I'm sorry what was that?" Korina asked, glancing at Katie. "I said okay, Jesus." Cassie said louder, sliding back into the stool, taking a bite.

Korina slid onto of the counter, chewing soundlessly, "Katie, dinner is done." Katie stood, her eyes glued to the letter, and ran to her room, "Not hungry!" She said as she slammed her door and fell into her bed, her eyes washing over the paper for a fourth time. She wiped at her eyes and waited for them to clear; refocusing:

Katie;

what a beautiful name no?

After I got your letter, I only felt it was fair to write one my self. I'd like to start off by saying that I'm glad I saved your life five years ago. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have gotten the letter I did the other day. The letter from you... I'll be honest with you; I don't know why you're different. Thousands of people send me letters everyday, millions even. However you, Katie Lynn, are some how different. What you said in your letter hit home. I do miss Zayn... We were close, as all of us are. Though what you said was right; we do sound better without him, even if we sound lost at the same time. You were right to say that sounding lost isn't bad; because it's even better when we find ourselves. I shared your letter with Harry, we're close he and I. I hope you don't mind. If I may be a bit more honest, I had every intention of letting your letter go into the pile with the rest of them. One's that I wouldn't get to in months. Though, Something changed when I saw your face at the concert. You have a calm face; even if it wasn't then. I can see that you care deeply for things that most people don't. Something changed when I reached for, when their were plenty of other people to reach for. Ones that were closer. I just couldn't not touch you... Maybe that's weird to say; maybe it's not. Assuming you've thought about touching me. I mean, god; not in that way! I wish I hadn't wrote this in pen! I just mean like a hug- okay never mind. Moving on.

I'd like to thank you for telling me about yourself instead of One Direction. Living with four, now three, people everyday and hearing nothing but One Direction this, One Direction that; it was nice to hear about your day. Not thinking about the boys or how my voice sounds. Which as you say, is amazingly smooth. I'd like to thank you for saying that I didn't have to change my teeth or my hair to be as beautiful as I am. As you and everyone else knows, I did change who I was to fit in. Though I'm glad a fan likes me for who I was, and who I am now, an not just what I'd became; it means a lot Katie.

Finally, I'd like to think that we can meet again. Hopefully I can say this all to you in person. If I can't, you'll then be reading this letter. If you're reading this letter, then I fear we won't meet for a long time. I want to shake the hand of the girl who wrote me a letter that made my heart contract into it's self. I'd like to meet the girl who loves me, for who ever I am and for what ever choices I make. I'd like to meet you Katie, and if that's alright with you, then I suppose I'll see you; someday.

Sincerely, Niall James Horan

Katie blinked several times, tears running down her face. "TUNA!" She yelled, sliding out of bed, onto the floor. Korina walked in, a bowl in her hand, chewing nonchalantly, "What's up?" She asked before she saw Katie. When she saw her on the floor she froze, "Uhm, you alright?" Katie sat up, taking in breath by hard breath, and held the letter in front of her, "What does this mean?" She said, wiping her nose on her shirt. Korina sat her bowl down, wiped her hands on her shirt and took the paper; scanning it at a rapid pace. "Well," Korina said slowly, "I'm pretty sure Niall Horan just asked you out on a date."
