I walked into the hospital room, and Haley was smiling away.

"Hey soldier!" I said. "Hey." She responded. Her olive colored skin was basically pale, she looked so sick. She wasn't dying, but she looked so injured, more injured than she did before.

"How are you feeling?" Tom asked. "I'm feeling quite amazing actually, these broken ribs feel amazing, and my broken leg is perfect and-" "you're being a smart ass!" Tom said with a laugh. Haley laughed. "I am indeed." She said.

~Haley's POV~

It felt great seeing all my friends, and Nina. It made my heart warm, and I know that I have people that care about me. My side was killing me, my arm hurt, and my leg didnt feel too amazing either.

"Do you want anything to eat?" Jade asked. Um, how the fuck will I eat? "I'm good, thanks though." I said. She smiled. I looked around the room.

Massive balloons filled the room, along with so many creepy stuffed animals... But it was still sweet.

I caught Toms eyes, and we held each others gaze. The others understood that we have stuff to talk about, so they filed out and waited in the hall. "I want coffee." Jade said, while leaving the room. "Jade do you actually need that?" Nina asked her, following her out and closing the door. I laughed.

"Besides this, how have you been?" Tom asked. "I don't know. I love it here, but just sort of missing home." I said. Tom smiled. "Yeah, it's hard at first, not being able to see family and stuff. But you will eventually get used to it." He said. "Yeah." We stayed silent for a while.

"How have you been?" I asked. "Great. Just finishing up the new album, living the rock star life." He said with a wink. "Well that is good." I said. "Yeah. Oh I got you something!" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a tiny box. Oh shit.

He opened the box, and looked at me. "I saw it at the mall, and it reminded me of you." He opened the box and it was a necklace... Thank god.

I smiled. "It's beautiful!" I said. Tom got up and put it on me. I gave him a kiss. "Thanks love." I said. He smiled. "You're worth it."

~Jade's POV~

We walked out of the room, to let Haley and Tom catch up. "Seriously, I want coffee!" I said. "I thought we already ended this conversation!" Nina said. I rolled my eyes. "Want to walk downstairs to get some?" Max asked. "Finally!" I said.

Max and I walked down the hall and waited in the elevator. Max was like an older brother to me. "How have you been J?" He asked. He called me 'J'. "I've been well. Jay nearly gave me a heart attack though!" I said. "Why?" He asked. "I thought he was gonna propose.

Max gave a little suspicious smile. "What?" I asked. Then the elevator arrived and we got in. "Never mind." He said with a laugh. "Seriously, what is it?" When we arrived to the cafeteria, we got out of the elevator and walked in.

He looked at the elevator, and pulled me over to the side. "Okay, you promise not to tell jay I told you?" He asked. I shook my head.

"Okay, well we went to the mall yesterday, and we went into a jewelry store, and he was looking at engagement rings." He blurted out. My stomach turned, and I suddenly felt sick. "Did he buy one?" I asked. "No, but he seemed to like one." Max said. I had nothing to say.

"You alright? Most girls would be thrilled." Max said. "No, I am. But I'm eighteen, almost nineteen. I'm in college, I don't think I am ready to settle down." I said. "Understandable." Max said.

We walked into the cafeteria and got some coffee. "Do you love him?" Max asked. My eyes went wide. "Of course I do! Why would you ask such a question?" "Just making sure." He said with a smile. I gave him a playful punch on the arm, and we sat down at a table and drank our coffee.

"If he does eventually ask you to marry him and you feel like how you do now, make sure you tell him the honest truth. It's better to tell the truth ahead of time, instead of when you are walking down the alter." Max explained.

"Yeah, plus we were talking earlier and he said he found a gray hair this morning. And two days ago, he was talking about finding a new flat. Do you think he's moving too fast?" I asked Max.

"Most men like rushing. But others like taking their time, like me. If he asks you to move in with him, why not! You two are a couple, of almost one year." Max said. "I guess."

We continued talking and finished our coffee, and when we finished we headed back up to Haley's room.

When we got back to Haley's room, everyone was in the room and laughing their asses off. "What's going on?" I asked. They all pointed to the T.V. and it was a video of a dancing cat... Haley's favorite video.

I laughed. "How did you get it on the T.V.?" I asked. "YouTube app!" Siva said. "Neat!" We were all laughing, even Haley. She held her ribs while she laughed, but we needed the video because things were intense.

After the laughing finished and we were all calm, we had an actual conversation. "Oh, can you and Jay pick up my parents tonight at 12 from the airport?" Nina asked me. I looked Jay and he seemed to be fine with the idea. "Sure." I said. "Thanks. I would, but I'm staying with Haley tonight." Nina said. "Understandable!" I said.
