When I walked into the office the next morning, I felt so... good.

I was taking pictures of everything, so when Chris came up to me with that smile of his, I took his picture.

"What was that for," he asked.

"I dunno. I'm so... happy."

Jason walked by at that moment and said, "Nope, she definitely got laid."

"Your mom," I shot back.

"So what happened last night?"

"If I tell you, promise to keep it a secret?"

Chris nodded.

"I kissed Titanium on the cheek!"

"It's just a cheek. It's not that exciting."

I glared at Chris for trying to take away my moment.

"And? I'm kinda beginning to like him. I mean, he's already saved me twice."

"Three times," he said.

I looked at him stunned. "...What?"

"What? If you saw him last night, he must have saved you, right? I mean, he wouldn't just pop up willy nilly."

"Why, am I not special enough for a superhero to want to see me?"

Chris shrugged, smiling.

I rolled my eyes. "Well anyway, I kind of want to see him again. Maybe I'll get into some more trouble and he'll need to save me."

"Like a damsel in distress?"

"...More like... a woman in need of help."

Chris laughed. "You need help if you want to be with a superhero."

"What's wrong with that?"

"He's not normal. You should like someone, I dunno... normal?"

"And what, pray tell, is normal?"

"Well..." he started," putting his hands in his front pockets, "I'm normal."

I eyed Chris up. "You usually don't talk to anybody, but yet now you're here, telling me I should like you?"

Chris looked around as if looking for something to give him an answer, and then nodded. He didn't seem embarrassed at all.

"Well, Chris, if you want me to like you, you're going to have to work for it," I said, smiling.

"Your smile tells me its already working."

"What's already working? Your emails, your printers?" Hanson asked, not looking too pleased, "Where in God's name is the article on Titanium? We'd be the first newspaper to get good photos! Good photos means more money, and I want more money!"

Chris whipped it out of thin air, literally. I stared at him shocked, since he didn't have anything in his hands before. I walked around him in shock, poking and prodding him to get some kind of indication of where it came from.

"It's all there. I added Vic's pictures to where it was appropriate. I think it's pretty good for one night's worth."

"Victoria, what in hell are you doing to Chris?" Hanson asked.

I stopped poking his back to look at Hanson.

"What? Oh, um... I'm just... feeling how hard his muscles are," I said, squeezing his shoulder, "Have you felt these? Like rocks."

Hanson looked at me weird and said, "No thanks, I'm good. Keep her on a leash, Chris."

Chris saluted him and turned around to me.

"Even think about putting a leash on me and I'll castrate you," I warned.

Chris put out his hands up defensively, before retreating to his desk. I watched him retreat and thought about how his muscles did feel like rocks.

Maybe he just works out a lot.
