When Chris had driven me home, we had to have spent at least ten minutes kissing. We broke apart when he started beeping.
“Oh, sorry,” he said, looking at his pager.
I snorted. “You have a pager? Who uses those anymore?”
Chris gave me an offended look. “I do! They happen to be very useful. It helps me with my work.”
I scrunched my face in confusion. “You write articles. You need a pager for that?”
“I… have a side job. Kinda like volunteer work.”
I nodded. “That makes sense. Go save the world, Mr. Superhero.”
Chris chuckled nervously. “Haha, it’s funny, because you called me a superhero, even though I’m not.”
I gave him a weird look. “Yes… that’s why. Can I have one more kiss?”
Chris smiled and leaned in. “Of course.”
I bit my lip after he left, wishing he could stay longer. As I went inside, I rushed upstairs to get my camera. Sometime I would go outside my balcony and take pictures of the night sky. After taking a few and coming inside, I looked through all my photos. I looked through photos of when I first got it. There were children running around with bubble wands and pinwheels. As I got to recent times, I saw pictures I had of Titanium. I smiled slightly at seeing them. I missed him a lot.
I wish he hadn’t stopped coming here. I always felt safer knowing he’d be around. As I went through more pictures, I saw Chris. I had the most annoying nagging feeling that I had seen him before.
“Well of course you’ve seen him before; he left your house like ten minutes ago,” I said. “Okay, I’m going crazy, speaking to myself.”
I went through the roll a few more times, but the nagging feeling wouldn’t go away. I started to go backwards on the roll when I almost dropped the camera. I looked at the picture I had taken of Chris when he wasn’t looking and realized I had a little crush on him. Then I flipped back to the pictures of Titanium. He was smiling brightly.
Then something clicked. I flipped quickly back and forth between Chris and Titanium’s picture when I realized something else.
He doesn’t know Titanium!
Chris is Titanium!

I walked into the building with a smirk on my face. As I got to my floor, I looked around the floor. I spotted the exact person I wanted to see. I ran up to Chris and dragged him by his tie into a storage room.
“You’re sneaky, aren’t you?” I said, “A sneaky, sneaky little boy.”
He raised an eyebrow. “And we’re talking about…”
I lowered my voice to a whisper.
“About you being Titanium!”
His eyebrow rose even higher. “You are quite crazy.”
I gave him an incredulous look. “No, I know you’re Titanium!”
“Yeah, okay,” he said, moving towards the door.
Before he opened it, I closed it and put a hand against his chest. He looked down at my hand and then up at my face.
“I know you are Titanium. I’m going to prove that you are. I know it.”
I left him in the closet, suddenly very angry and determined to prove to him that he was in fact Titanium. Chris followed behind me and said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“I have proof!”
“Proof?”
“Yes!”
I picked up my camera and showed him the pictures. “Look. There’s you, and there’s… Titanium. See? Exactly alike.”
Chris took the camera and flipped through them. He stared at them for a while.
“Yeah, I don’t see it.”
My jaw dropped. “What?”
Chris looked at me and handed me the camera. He shrugged and said, “Nope. Don’t see it.”
“Ugh! You’re so infuriating!”
Chris smiled. “I try.”
