When I woke up the next morning, I stretched and went to go to the bathroom. I wasn’t fully awake, and was shocked when I couldn’t get through the door. I felt for the handle, not feeling like opening my eyes, but I couldn’t even feel the outline of the door. I opened my eyes in alarm, seeing that I was in a see-through box, surrounded by darkness. The only light was a lamp coming from beside my bed.
I looked around and saw that it wasn’t even my bed- something was obviously going on.
“Nice to see you’re awake, Ms. Hill,” a voice said. I turned to face it, anger filling me.
“Why am I here? Take me home!”
The voice chuckled, coming from a different direction, making me spin around to face it.
“No can do. I’m quite entertained by your fear. You look like a mouse. I happen to be the cat.”
“Are you seriously using that comparison? That is so overused!”
The voice boomed. “Be quiet this instant! Do you realize I could kill you in an instant? That container you’re in is connected to a poisonous gas tank. One snap of my fingers and it’s on, killing you in a second.”
“You said instant twice. It’s less threatening now,” I said, crossing my arms and cocking out a hip. “It’s like rhyming a word with the same word.”
The light turned on to reveal Mist-a-Swirl, sitting on top of a pyramid like structure with a staff in his hand.
“Turn on the gas!” he yelled, hitting the staff against the ground.
“Are you a king? I see your staff. You shouldn’t have one; you’re not a good villain.”
Too bad I blacked out after that.

When I had woken up, I had a headache. My head was on the ground and I could feel a warm liquid running down the side of my face. I groaned and tried to get up, but I was chained to the wall. This time, I wasn’t in the box. I was in a dimly lit, damp room. I looked at the rest of my body to see that I had been changed into a tight shirt and pants.
Of course.
The door burst open, revealing Mist-a-Swirl in normal clothes, but with orange and green wristbands.
“Where’s Titanium?”
I ignored his question. “You lied. That gas didn’t kill me; it knocked me out.”
“Where is he?!” he yelled, coming into the room.
“You look normal,” I said.
He picked up a chair that was in the room and smashed it against my body. I groaned in pain, breathing in. He came over to me and bent down to my level, grabbing me by the hair.
“Tell me where he is,” he whispered harshly.
I smiled. “You look very nice when you’re not dressed like cereal.”
Mist-a-Swirl smiled back. “Wrong answer.” The smile quickly turned into a scowl and he hit my head against the floor.
The headache I had woken up with had gotten worse now, and the pain was intensifying quickly.
“Tell me where Titanium is!” He yelled, hitting my head against the concrete again.
My head felt dizzy. “I don’t know,” I whispered, trying to get my head to stop throbbing.
“Don’t lie to me,” he said, pulling my hair.
A tear left my eye, trailing down my face. The pain was too much.
“I really don’t know.”
He let go of my hair, letting my head fall to the floor. The throbbing became worse and I closed my eyes tightly, wishing the pain would go away.
“You have one more chance to tell me where Titanium is.”
“I don’t know!” I cried.
Something that felt like a ton of bricks was smashed against my body.
I opened my eyes slowly and glared at Mist-a-Swirl. “When Titanium comes, you are so dead.”
He smiled. “Too bad you’ll already be dead” he said, kicking me in the face.
I blacked out once more.
