Chapter 4: Confessions
1 week later
Finally, Saturday. I got out of bed at 10:00. I've missed being able to sleep in. I got my morning tea and sat down on the couch and tuened on the tv. Its been a week since I've seen Colin except for the occasional pass in the hallway.
I thought about going over to visit him more than once, but decided I better not before his lady beast attacked me. After I finished my tea, I turned off the tv and went back to my bedroom.
I decided I might as well go do something today instead of sitting inside all day. I pulled on some black skinny jeans and a flowery blouse and pulled on a light sweater. I pulled on my sandels and grabbed my wallet and keys. I was just about to lock the door when something popped into my head I forgot my phone. I went back to the bedroom and grabbed it off the charger.
I made my way out the door for the second time and double checked in my head to make sure I didn't forget anything else. As soon as I locked the door a familier certain someone showed up. And I have to admit, I was kinda happy to see him.
"Colin!" He acted as if he was surprised to see me living there.
"Hey Chelsea! How have you been?" I looked down at my feet. "Um fine I guess. How have yo-" he cut me off and said "lets go somewhere." He was looking at me like he was trying to find something out.
Before he could go any further, I just grabbed his wrist and started walking down the hallway. We spent the elevator ride down deciding where we were going, which was going to be go karting. I didn't get very much say in this choice, but I wasn't against it.
When we got outside, there was a slight breeze and it looked like it was going to rain soon. Great. We got in his car and started out.
The car was old and made noises, but at least it was warm. The go-kart place was pretty far, so I took it as a chance to start some small talk. "So um..how does your girlfriend feel about this?" he didn't even take his eyes off the road and replied
"Oh yea sorry about her. Her name is Megan and she doesn't really like the idea of 'sharing' me. So she tends to give all other pretty girls the cold shoulder before even getting to know them."
My face heated up when he said she only give the cold shoulder to 'pretty' girls. He probally didn't even mean it in that way, but a girl can dream. He continued,
"And besides, she's out of town for one of her beauty pagent things again. But I don't think she'll care about us hanging out as long as you don't try to make any moves." he winked and laughed, and I nudged him slightly. "Verrryy funny Colin." We both laughed and settled in a comfortable silence.
It was so easy to be around him. It feels like I've known him my whole life. We pulled into the go-kart driveway to find it surprisingly empty except about four or five other cars. While I was examinig the place, three boys came up to Colin and did that whole bro huggy thingy.
One of them was tall and had a muscular build and blonde hair, another one had dusty brown hair like Colin's but longer, and the other one had short dark hair in buzzcut and blue eyes. All three of them were pretty attractive, but Colin was still the hottest one there.
