Chapter 8: Pain
My mood was lightened after what happened with Megan. I was looking forward to getting along with her in the future.
~~~~~~
I was going to need something to do for a while so I decided to go on a bike ride. I rode around for a while and found my way around bigger parts of the city without getting lost.
Once I returned back home, I once again had nothing else to do. Sure I had the puppy, but other than that things got pretty boring.
I tried occupying myself with busy work for as long as I could becuase I really didn't want to fall asleep. Nighttime was always the worst time.
It was getting extremly late and I was trying my hardest not to fall asleep because only bad things happened then. Around 2am, I decided to take a shower.
I stepped into the shower and I was totally fine at first, then I heard the noise again. The stupid little sing-songy notes repeating themselves over and over again in my head.
I cupped my hands around my ears in attemp to drown out the words but I couldn't; they were inside my head.
My breathing became uneasy again so I shut off the shower just in case I passed out again. Heaving in and out, I scrambled to dry off and put on some clothes.
I needed help.
I was planning on calling the hospital again but I figured I could handle it. I told myself to calm my breathing and it worked. For a minute.
The words kept getting louder and louder, nagging on and on, over and over again. My breathing became unsteady again and my legs got the same heavy feeling they had before.
Tears started pouring down my face as I walked aimlessly around the small apartment.
Louder.
The words, repeating over and over again.
The air became thick and it felt like someone was choking me.
"Help. Help. Help!" I yelled. No one could hear me.
Stupid girl. It's all your fault that they are dead. Stupid girl. It's all your fault that they are dead.
The words. Soon I started chanting them aloud myself, and I started to give in. I was beliving it.
Crying even harder and repeating the words out loud, I made my way to the kitchen.
I stopped at the knives.
Staring at the sharp peices of metal, the words would get louder then softer again.
I reached out and grabbed a knife.
I heaved in and out three times, then before I could stop it, the knife was on my skin.
Slice. Three times.
The whole time there was an ear blistering noise in the backgrounf which I discovered was my scream.
I had been screaming at the top of my lungs and I hadn't realized it.
I heard a bang come from my front door and saw a bunch of people rush in, and before I could identify any of the faces, everything went black.
IA/N: Heyoo! So anyways this chapter was pretty intense to write and I know it's super short but I didn't really know how to make it longer.
