Chapter 7

I haven't talked to anyone but Skylar, she talks to me everyday and doesn't treat me like an injured puppy, like Shai does. I know Shailene means well and all, but it just makes me feel worse..

In this week of getting to know Skylar, I've found she has a sister, and a niece who stays with her lots, along with another niece along the way. Skylar also explained that she doesn't talk too much about her past because of some certain things, I can't ask but I sure am curious.

Miles came by earlier to tell me to get dressed and shit while he gets my paperwork done, he is the only other person I speak to.

When I finish getting my clothing on, Skylar walks in, "hey there TJ! Ready to move in with muah until further notice?" She asks with random accents in it. I chuckle lightly as I nod.

I think I'm getting over the fact that Ryker is gone, just a figment of the past now, I feel guilty for saying it, but I'm okay.

Miles returns, "yo Man I got your bags and necessities at Skylars already. And I'm your escort if you would," he says holding his arm out.

Having that relationship with Miles I'm not going to turn it down and leave him hanging, so I wrap my arm through his and hold my other arm for Skylar. Which she gladly takes, probably happy I'm happy.

To be honest I don't really need to move with Skylar but I kind of want to... she's a sweet person. Shai said I don't need it anymore and I could leave at any time but Skylar already worked me into her schedule so why not?

Once we arrive, Miles grabs my stuff out of the back and Skylar shows me to my room.

"AUNTIE SKY!" I hear from the door

"GRACIE!" Skylar yells back, opening her arms wide so the little girl whom Is running to her can get a hug.

"I missed you" Gracie mumbles against Skylars shoulder.

"Me too baby girl" Skylar replies kissing her head.

"Who's this man, Aunt Sky?" She looks curiously at me, I smile at her and wave

"I'm Theo, how are you" I say squatting to be eye level with her.

Skylar smiles and walks to say hi to her sister, "I'm good, my name is Grace Becks, but you can call me Gracie" she says putting her hand in the space between us. I take it in mine, which in comparison, is very small to mine.

"Well hello Gracie" I nod, she hugs me, strongly may I add.

We walk inside together and Skylars sister, Italia, calls for Gracie to get ready for bed since its late.

When it's just Miles, Skylar, and I, we start drinking coffee. It was a nice comfortable silence. It felt great to be somewhat normal for once..

"I hope you don't mind but at the moment I have no mattress, so just sleep on my bed. I have the couch.." Skylar smiles while grabbing a blanket and pillow.

I grab her wrist, which has dips in random places, and look her in her blue eyes, " no no it's okay, I got the couch" I say grabbing the blankets and pillow from her. She smiles gratefully to me.

"Thanks Theo.. I'm going to say goodnight to Gracie." She starts running towards the room with a light still on.

I hear their conversation as I'm getting ready for bed, "aunt Sky?"

"Yes baby girl"

"Do you like Theo?"

"I may like him just a bit" I can hear the smile in her voice.

"Not a little! Alot!!" She yells before being shh'ed by Skylar.

"Let's not speak of this.. Okay?"

"Okay Aunt Sky I love you."

"I love you more princess "

Do I like Skylar too? I feel something weird with her too? I guess only time will tell.

A/n hey y'all I'm so so so so so sorry for not updating for more than a month. School just started and I'm already failing Spanish. Oops. Anyways I'll try and update sometime this week but don't hold that against me lol. I love you guys very very very much. Btw the picture is Skylar, Gracie, then the house.
