"Master?" You asked, looking out the miniature window hopefully, "How much longer is Luke going to be gone?" Yoda grunted as he walked out of his small kitchen with three bowls of some sort of stew, giving you a shrug. "Cannot be taught quickly, the force," he said, "However long it takes." He then thrust one of the small bowls in your hand, giving you a sharp poke in the stomach. "Eat you must." You rolled your eyes but did as the master had said, as you had learned it was best not to argue with him. For the past few weeks you and Luke had been living on Dagobah in the company of Master Yoda while Luke trained to become a Jedi. Meanwhile, Leia and Han had ventured off to Bespin, much to your satisfaction. But unlike the beautiful city in the clouds, Dagobah wasn't the ideal place to be; Instead, it was miles of murky marsh and swampland that seemed almost uninhabitable at times. However, being with Luke made it worth it. You had been friends with Luke since you were young children and you had since joined the rebel alliance by his side, only to find that you'd gone and developed feelings for him. You didn't even know how it had happened, but now you could barely contain yourself and acted like a complete fool: Dropping things, staring a bit too long, going out of your way to speak to him...When Luke asked if anyone wanted to accompany him to Dagobah, you practically leaped at the chance to be alone with him, especially since he and Leia began to grow closer with one another...You looked back down at the bowl in your hands, halfheartedly stirring the brown mush with your spoon. You looked up and saw Yoda studying you, making you knit your brow in confusion. "Why are you looking at me like that?" You questioned, making his smile stretch to his ginormous ears. "In love with young Jedi you are." Yoda mused with a small chuckle, his leathery face wrinkling as his grin grew impossibly wide and a hot flood of embarrassment ran through your veins. You looked away from the master with downcast eyes in an attempt to hide your blushing face. "N-No I'm not-" "-Mind reader I am," He chuckled cockily, "Your thoughts I know. He has nice butt you think, and handsome face." Your eyes widened in shock as Yoda let out a hearty laugh, and for once you were actually relieved that Luke was nowhere to be found. Were you really having this conversation? You were to stunned to speak, when Yoda continued. "However, kind heart and noble spirit you love. Strong Jedi he is." "Luke and I are just friends-" "-Very friendly the two of you." He jested, his raspy laugh echoing in his home. A rustling could be heard outside of the dwelling and your heart immediately lifted. Luke. Even the thought of him approaching sent you into a frenzy. You pulled at your tunic and fiddled with your hair under the judgmental gaze of the nine hundred year old alien, biting back a large grin when the door swung open. "(Y/N), Yoda, I'm back!" "L-Luke!" You stumbled, a smile spreading across your face. You stood up as soon as he entered the house, hitting your head on the low ceiling in a rather ungraceful fashion. Luke simply smiled, chuckling at your clumsy behavior. "How was your training?" "It went really well," He said, "I think I'm almost ready to become a Jedi." Yoda gruffly laughed from his seat, shaking his head. "Cocky, you are." Luke's smile didn't waver however; Instead, he took a seat beside you, taking a bowl from Yoda and digging in. Yoda raised an eyebrow in your direction, clearing his throat. You looked over at him, eyes wide. What do you want? You mentally hissed, when Yoda spoke up. "Luke, talk with (Y/N) you must." Your heart sank in your throat: You were speechless. Luke looked between the two of you, raising an eyebrow. "What? Why?" Taking the hint from Yoda, you piped up. "Luke," You began, "Would it be okay if we talked outside for a moment?" He furrowed his eyebrows before nodding, "Of course." You gave the Jedi master a glare as you both walked out into the dark night, a warm breeze hitting you as you took a deep breath to collect your thoughts. Luke had a countenance of worry, his eyes searching your face. "Is everything alright?" You looked down at your feet, feeling a lump growing in your throat. "I just need to ask you something that has been gnawing at me for a while now..." "Of course, anything." Luke agreed. "Are you...are you in love with Leia?" You choked out suddenly, looking down at your feet as you awaited his answer. He shifted uncomfortably beside you at this sudden outburst, his bright blue eyes studying you. "Leia?" He repeated, sounding like he was picking his words with caution, "I...I don't know how to answer that question." "Do you love her?" You weakly pressed on and the young Jedi scoffed, furrowing his brow in puzzlement. "I have feelings for Leia, yes, but I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm in love with her-""-And that kiss back on Hoth, that didn't mean anything to you?" Luke folded his arms across his chest, letting out a short huff. "I don't see why this matters, Y/N. What I feel for Leia is none of your concern." Your heart felt as if it was in your throat, not knowing what to say or do next. He gently put his hand on your shoulder, your body flooding with warmth at his touch. "Y/N, what is all this about?" The confusion in his voice was apparent and you sniffled, wrapping your arms tightly around your body for some sort of comfort. He lifted your chin so you would look at him and the moment his eyes met yours you knew you were done for. You could never ignore or say no to him, no matter how hard you tried. Luke had you memorized: Every look, every twitch, and each slight tug of your face...he knew them all. It was no use to hide anything from him because he knew you too damn well. His expression softened, his voice becoming gentle. "Y/N," He coaxed, running his thumb along your chin, "You can tell me anything." You hesitated, trepidation building inside of you. "I...uh..." You stumbled, clearing your throat as a heat flooded to your face, "I don't know how to explain this, but....I have had feelings for you for a while, but I completely understand if you don't feel the same." Your heart felt like it had been ripped from your chest when his eyes widened with surprise. "Oh..." You bit your bottom lip, wishing you could disappear on the spot. He didn't seem horrified or upset like you had expected, however. Instead, a charming smile pulled on to his lips, the kind that had made you melt so many times before. "This certainly changes things, doesn't it?" Now it was your turn to be confused. "Why are you looking at me like that?" You asked weakly, eyes searching his face. The Jedi shuffled almost bashfully, his blood rushing to his cheeks. "I guess I should confess to you...I actually feel the same way about you." Your eyes widened, not believing the words that just came out of his mouth. "I have since we lived back in Tatooine. I thought you didn't reciprocate my affection, so I tried to move on. I guess it didn't work so well..." You found yourself beginning to smile, heart lifting in your chest. Luke Skywalker felt the same way about you as you did him. "I really do love you, (Y/N), and no force across the universe can change that."
