"You're such a pretentious asshole!" "You're a smart ass!" "You're a scruffy looking know it all who can't stand to admit you're wrong!" You snapped, folding your arms against your chest in a huff. Han turned to face you, scoffing at your low blow. "Who's scruffy-looking?" He demanded, "Besides, I'm not wrong. I know where we're going." You snorted, rolling your eyes as he turned back to the task at hand, knowing that you were well off the course to Cloud City. You two had been driving for hours, much longer than it normally took to reach Lando's port, and Han still refused to give in to asking for directions. You turned to your Wookie companion for some sympathy and he gazed at you with tired eyes, whimpering softly. Both of you wanted to knock some sense into Han. "What is with men and asking directions? He acts like it's compromising his masculinity or something-" "-I know where we're going, (Y/N), alright? Bespin isn't far from here." He said through gritted teeth, his knuckles turning white on the controls as he struggled to keep himself calm. You rolled your eyes at his damn narcissism, digging your fingernails into your arms. "Really? Because I'm fairly certain we're lost." This set Han off like a firework. He turned to face you, and if looks could kill... "I think I can pilot my own ship without your backseat driving!" He barked, "Now can you please shut up and let me drive?" You narrowed your eyes, feeling your face heat up with anger. "Excuse me sweetheart, but who was the one who fixed this hunk of junk's hyper drive? If it wasn't for me we'd still be stuck inside the Great Pit of Carkoon!" You miffed, slouching in your seat as he turned to face you with an astonished look on his face. "Sweetheart?" He repeated, "Oh ho-ho, I see how it is!" He stood up, pointing a finger at you like he was scolding a child as his face began to turn pink. "Listen here, missy-" Chewbacca let out a low whimper in a weak attempt to intervene, which only made Han more upset. "Stay out of this, fuzz-ball!" He snapped, and you felt yourself begin to boil with anger and frustration causing you to jump up, jamming a finger into his chest. "Don't talk to Chewy like that!" Han swatted your hand away, scoffing. "I don't have to listen to him, (Y/N)! This is ridiculous-" "-No, what's ridiculous is your adittude! You're so damn prideful you won't even admit we're lost! Just say it already!" Han scowled, folding his arms as he stood at his full height, looking down at you menacingly. "We're not stopping for directions, (Y/N), and that's final!" "Han-" "ENOUGH!" He shouted, face bright red as he released his frustration by shoving you with all of his force. He hardly ever raised his voice like this, and Han never dared to raise a hand to you before; you had been so surprised and almost frightened by his outburst as you fell to the floor, eyes wide as they pooled with shocked tears that threatened to spill over. Han's face slowly fell from it's raged countenance as his eyes widened, panic replacing the upset in his expression. He moved towards you while extending a hand to help you up, which you refused immediately. "(Y/N), I-I....." "Don't touch me." You sniffled, pulling yourself up and bolting down the corridor in a feeble attempt to escape from him. "(Y/N)!" You could hear his footsteps coming down the hall behind yours, and when you finally reached your room you shut the door in his face. "(Y/N)!" He pounded against the door as you slid to the floor, curling up and burying your head in your arms in an attempt to block out his muffled calls. "(Y/N), I'm so sorry! You know I would never hit you-" "-You just did!" You snapped bitterly, wiping away your tears. "I know, and I'm sorry! Open the door, sweetheart, and let me apologize-" "-I don't want your apology, Han! Just go away!" He pounded his fist against the door once again, but you stood your ground. "Come on, princess, open the door-""-Go away, Han." He banged his fist against the barrier between the two of you once again, his voice sounding a bit weaker as he attempted to coax you out of your seclusion. "(Y/N), you know I love ya..." "You sure have a strange way of showing it." Han went silent and after a few moments you were fairly certain that he had left, and in the following minutes your anger slowly morphed into regret. Of course the relationship you and Han had was rocky, but you knew that these stupid fights happened all the time. You were both stubborn and rash...and you both hated to be wrong (Which he was). You wiped away your tears and gathered your strength, sucking in a shaking breath as you stood and opened the door. You quietly padded to through the corridor, rehearsing what you were going to say in your mind. You stood in the doorway to the cockpit for a moment, not yet noticed by him, when you were greeted with a surprising sight. Han had his head buried in his hands, shaking his head and mumbling softly to himself. "You're such an ignorant bastard! You actually hit her!How can you be so stupid?" He slammed his fist against the control panel, causing you to jump and flinch. "You're not stupid, Han," He turned around at the sound of your voice, quickly fixing his out of place hair that he had been tugging at moments ago, "You're just stubborn." You said this with a small smile and he walked towards you with his hands in his pockets sheepishly. "Look, (Y/N), my actions were uncalled for and I'm so sorry. I understand that I can be a little bit stubborn..." You felt a small smile pull on your lips as you poked his chest playfully, "Yes, and arrogant, cocky, ignorant-""Okay, I get it, (Y/N), I'm a pain in the ass." He admitted, pulling you against his chest in a tight hug. "But I don't mean to be so hard on you. I love you, (Y/N), and you know that." You nodded, snuggling into his broad chest as you smirked to yourself, softly chuckling at his apology. He didn't really think he could get off so easy, did he? The wheels in your head were turning with mischievous thoughts, and you were planning on milking this argument for all it was worth. "I love you too," You said sweetly, "But I'm still upset with you..." "What else do you want? I've already apologized-" "-I think you should let me drive." Han reeled back at your request, holding you at arm length while a look of utter terror washed across his features, and it seemed as if his heart stopped in his chest. "You...You're joking, right?" He stammered, and you grinned as you shook your head. "No, I want to drive."  He looked as if he was going to be sick. "Aw, sweetheart!" He protested, sounding like a spoiled little boy begging to stay up past his bedtime. "You know how I feel about the Falcon-" "You owe me, Solo, and if we're ever going to make it to Bespin we're going to need a driver who actually knows where they're going."
