"Um...Aria...I think I should take you home, you look like you're gonna pass out." It was true, she was flagging and there wasn't much we could do, it was in Terra's dad's hands now. The best I could do for them was to take Aria home and out the way of chaos. She nodded slowly, and let me swing her up in my arms. I carried her up the street, singing softly in her ear, when finally i began to subconsciously sing a familiar tune. At first I wasn't sure what it was, but then the words came to me.
"I-I love you like a love song, Zara. I-I love you like a love song, Zara. I-I love you like a love song, Zara. And will you-"
Aria's eyes started to flit open, so I finished with: "And will you go back to sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep..." She smiled, closing her eyes, and buried her head into my shoulder. I sighed, finding myself trapped between two unique and wonderful girls...who was I to chose?
Terra
"Dad!" I exclaimed, as he walked through the front doors of the club. he gave me a brief smile, and a nod in my direction and made his way over to Lacey's limp body on the ground. "Daddy, we have to do something." I whispered, kneeling down next to him.
"Out of the way! Move, please! What is going on, somebody-"
Luca
"...Lacey?" I whimpered, noticing the dishevelled figure slouched over Dr Reynolds' knee, and instantly recognising it. I rushed over, pushing through the crowd, grabbing people and throwing them in the opposite direction. "Lacey...please?"
I clutched her soft head in my hands and began to cry into her silky, caramel-coloured hair. I let a long piece of black hair fall over one of my eyes and watched it getting drenched in my futile tears. "Don't leave me," I smiled into her hair, and finally let myself go. "I...love you..."
"I love you, too!"
"Lacey?" I cried out, full of overwhelming joy, which quickly faded, when the reply came.
"No, sorry, just me!" Sadie confessed, blushing. "I thought it would just be nice to have a reply straight after, sorry, carry on." A little snigger whistled out from Terra's mouth, but I just rolled my eyes, sort of touched by Sadie's sentiment. (But God was she stupid?)
"Come on, Lacey...talk to me." I growled, a few hours later, after Dr R had worked his magic. But still, nothing was happening.
"...L-luca?"
"Goddammit, Sadie, if that's you again, I swear to God I will-"
"No." Came a firm voice and I looked down...Lacey.
"Lace...you're...you're okay?" I spluttered, wiping back a big cloud of tears.
"Yeah, I have been for a while now, but I just kept pretending to be asleep."
"Wh...why didn't you tell me you were okay?"
"Well..." She pondered, smirking, a little. "I was just waiting for the right moment, until you said something that I could answer romantically with. But you took forever to talk to me, I mean, what's the deal with that? Do you just keep your girls wait-"
I cut her off by picking her up in a large, warm hug and planting a soft kiss on her cheek. (It was way to early for the lips!)
"So..." She smiled, looking a little devious by raising her eyebrow. I'm totally kidding, she couldn't look anything less than a jolly clown if her life depended on it, but I played along, intrigued.
"...you love me, eh?" She smirked, rocking back and forth in my lap. I grinned, a tiny bit embarrassed, but she just hugged me again, distracting from the tomato-ness of my face. "I love you too, Luca Walters."
