"So I got good news and bad. Which do you want to hear first?"
"good please." I put my phone on speaker and laid it on my bed.
It was 9 o' clock and I was in my room talking to Lisa on my phone. My room was kinda big. I had a queen sized bed on the left side of my room and a small desk next to it. A window on the opposite side of my door and a closet on the opposite side of my bed. The walls were a light blue color and the window pane white. It was simple, but I liked it.
"Okay so I talked to my cousin about helping you for the summer."
"Uh-huh."
" Well at first we argued for a bit but at the end h-he said he'll do it."
"Really. that's great!"
She started to laugh nervously "Yup! totally. So no backing out now, right." I tilted my head to the side slightly confused. Now more interested on something else.
"Whats the bad news Lisa."
There was silence on the other side of the phone. I thought she might of hung up. "Lisa-"
"He said he will only do it Monday,Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 8 to 10 in the morning. And it will take place at the fitness center."
Thats it. I don't see the problem.
"So?" I responded
"You don't understand. Those are the days men go and work out. Don't ask me why but they do."
I froze my eyes going wide. I forgot how to breath for a second.
"No." I whispered
"Ya I know I tried to tell him to change it but he already made up his mind."
So hears the thing, I may have a slight fear of strangers or people in general. I get all fidgety and paranoid that they are looking at my body and making fun of me, judging me with their eyes. Where ever I go or where ever I am if I hear people laughing around me My mind automatically thinks they are laughing at me and I start speed walking away and try to even out my breathing and try not to cry. I get more nervous with men. What if they think I'm repulsing and unattractive.
What have I got myself into...
"Stevie?" I heard Lisa say on the phone. "You still there?"
"Uh ya, I don't think it's a good idea. He has to change it. You know how I am. I won't survive."
"He said either his way or no way."
Geez. Is the guy really that mean and stubborn.
"You'll be fine Stevie" She tried reassuring me.
I closed my eyes and evened out my breathing. "Okay, if you say so. It's getting late I'll call you tomorrow."
"Actually he wants to meet you tomorrow for lunch."
"Oh.Why does he want to meet me so soon?"
"He's the type of person to do things right away. Please just get ready okay I'm abandoning the animals for you so you better feel special." With that she hung up and I fell back on my bed exhausted. What an emotional day. I got ready for bed and mentally preparing myself for tomorrow knowing it's going to be an interesting one.
