Ricky called the ambulance and they got us to the hospital as fast as they can.
I sat out side in the waiting area my hands clenched together and my left leg moving rapidly.
I didn't know how to react yet, I was still in shock. My mom had cancer, how long did she have this and why didn't she tell me.
I don't know what to do at the moment,I wait for Ricky to come out and talk to me but he's taking forever.
I just hope my mum is okay. Her heart was still beating when she fainted.
"Stevie."
I got up when Ricky called me over to him.
"Ricky how's my mum?"
" your mom fainted because of the stress. You're mom isn't suppose to be working but turned out she was without me knowing." He shook his head. "I told her to stop working and to rest if she wanted to get better.
"She's not getting better." More of a statement and not much of a question.
He stayed quiet.
"You're not telling me something."
"Stevie come with me we'll talk in my office." He walked me to his office.
It was white room with a brown desk and 2 chairs and a couple of plants in the corner of the room. I sat directly in front of his desk and he sat on his chair behind his desk.
"Ricky please tell me what's going on."
"You're mum is a strong women she's always thinking of others and not her self. If someone needed something she will do everything in her power to get it for them." He took a pause." Your mum has been dealing with this sickness for 3 years."
"W-what." I clenched my hands keeping my cool.
"She's Been secretly getting treatment but mostly pills and shots to decrease the virus. But not make them go away."
"W-why not?"
"The treatment is really expensive."
"And." Shaking my head.
"She didn't want to spend to much money on herself, she is working so hard and working so many hours for you. She doesn't want to do the treatment incase something happens you have money to take care of yourself financially."
"Is she crazy!" I slammed my hands on his desk scaring him." Forget me use the money and give her the treatment."
"Stevie." Ricky shook his head," it's not that simple."
"Yes it is," I said gritting my teeth controlling my shakiness.
"Stevie your mum took years to save up money for you she made me promise to not use the money on her at all." Yelling at me.
"Okay so it's my money." I said giving him attitude.
"Y-yes."
"Okay then I'm using MY money to save MY mom from dying."
"S-Stevie please,y-you don't understand." He ruffled his hair getting up and pacing.
I stared at him getting frantic." I know you liked her."
"Liked? I loved her."
"She loves you too."
He laughs and sits down and covers his eyes.
"Ric-"
"Life is seriously unfair and fucked up. And so is love."
I wiped my tears and looked at the man that weeps for my mum. I'm not good to comfort people. I felt sick and I'm scared what's going to happen next but my mum can't leave me.
"Ricky please use the money." I whimpered.
He laughs/cries.
"Use the money, save my mum, go on a date with her and get married she loves you she really does and then be my dad."
He laughs at my last remark.
"I'm sorry." Was all he said.
"She's....she's already gone."
