The next couple of days I stayed home and cleaned the mess I made. Lisa happily volunteered to help me and a lot of the guys at the gym also asked to help out and I was more than happy letting them. The one person that didn't want to help was Sky, which was weird.
"He has things to do." Lisa said.
I was a bit bothered that he didn't tell me himself but I didn't care, his world didn't revolve around me.
What we did first to clean the house was remove all of the mirrors that were broken and throw them in the trash. Any broken furniture, gone. Ripped couches, gone. Mags helped me out by rearranging the place to make it look nice and Lisa helped by cleaning the floors, and since she's doing floors the guys wanted to do floors. If she was up stairs, the guys cleaned up stairs. If she was outside watering the plants then they helped her garden.
It was kinda funny seeing these big tough guys following this petite girl around like lost puppies.
Mags and I were dying of laughter When Lisa winked at Ted and he blushed and turned as red as a tomato.
This took the entire day and not once did Skylar text or call. Well, he is an adult and has things to do.
"How are you feeling."
I looked to my side and noticed it was Maggie that asked me the question that no one dared asked me fearing I might blow up on them.
I thought about by response before saying it but I wasn't sure if I should be honest.
"Ugly truth or a beautiful lie?" I asked wiping the wooden table in my living room.
"Truth."
"I want to kill myself."
She said quiet finishing up dusting.
"Ever thought about therapy?" She asked calmly.
"Sometimes."
"You should try it out." She said shrugging.
I paused as I watched her dust my t.v.
She glances at me through my tv. "I knew a person that went through depression. Lost everything, then lost herself. It's scary how a person that was once lively, can welcome death so easily."
"Maggie-"
"Promise you will find help." She said gripping the duster as she stared at me.
"Yeah I will."
One by one everyone began leaving and calling it a night.
I thanked everyone that came and hugged them good bye. Ted patted my head and hugged me tightly. Josh hugged me and caressed my short hair. Victor smiled at me and I smiled back. Things are okay now so I hugged him and he hugged me back.
Lisa was the last to leave and stayed to make sure I was okay.
"Hey Lisa, I'm sorry." I said as we laid on the couch. "You know about what I said."
She didn't say anything.
"I didn't mean it."
"Of course you did and it's okay. I'm sorry I haven't been so truthful with you lately but that will change. You're more than a friend to me, we're family."
"Yeah. Family." I smiled looking at my ceiling.
"School is starting tomorrow." She stated.
I sighed and put my hand on my eyes rubbing them. "I totally forgot about that."
"Don't worry I'm not ready either."
She got up and so did I. When she grabbed her sweater and walked her out.
"Lisa how would you feel or say if I asked you to live with me."
Her eyes went wide and glossy. "I would say that's an amazing idea and would love you forever."
"Great, you can move in once this place is cleaned up."
She hugged me knowing that she will finally be out of her house and doesn't have to hear her parent fighting every night. And I wouldn't have to be living alone.
I grabbed a sleeping Bella and carried her to my room onto my bed turning off my light.
School is tomorrow. Which means 3 things.
1) I have to deal with assholes. Which I'm fine with now.
2) no more gym sessions. But I'll still be going.
3) I won't be seeing Skylar that much anymore.
