"It's been so long pap- I mean Comrade Major... I've really missed you over these three years." She says sad, even though he's her father, it's mandatory military standards that a superior officer is addressed more properly.

"I've really missed you too, it's been hard being away from the family for such a long time. But how's your Grandpa and Grandma doing since I've last seen them?" Koyla curiously asks but before Katya can answer, a stray bullet found it's way inside winging a soldier and that makes everyone throw themselves down to the ground for cover.

This brings reunion to a halt and puts everyone back into reality and the situation they're in, finding cover for safety from the incoming bullet fire.  They're back in battle and peeking his head over cover, Koyla quickly surveys the carnage below of the Red Army troops exchanging  gun fire with the Wehrmacht troops.

"Lieutenant, how many are currently here under your command that you've brought?" Koyla quickly asks looking out the window again to see squads of infantry rushing about to man positions or reman empty posts.

"Company size with a T34 as a support element sir. This is B company of the echelon forces, 238th rear guard." Katya replies as she too peers out the window satisfied with how the NCO's have set up the defensive line through out the rail yard with the remnants of the original defenders.

"That's the best damn news I've heard all day! Now what's the word with command and the situation they've put us in?" Koyla asks crouching down for better cover now since the German advance is picking up again.

Outside the factory and down below in one of the multiple  sandbagged positions, Russian Maxim crews are busy setting up their nests and defensive positions to hold off the heavy counter offensive that's coming under way.

As long as the Russian forces hold the factory, the German counter offensive is halted until this key factory falls since it's straight smack in the middle of the rail yard.

So far, things are at a stale mate with this turning into a slugging match with both sides holding positions, and just exchanging fire. Where no one is pushing or attacking with it just being bullet fire being shot back and forth.

*Wehrmacht forces*

Oberfeldwebel Otto Eberhardt

On the left flank of the Russian lines, a platoon was sent forth to being a flanking attack with the so called pincer movement on the Russian lines. However since their main assault force is still a bit back, the more elite of the German soldiers where sent on as the pincers for the movement.

Twenty-four soldiers of the veteran Panzergrenadier vanguard have been tasked with putting heavy pressure on the flank to crack this tough nut that they're going up against.

Quickly pointing to a few men an then making his hand horizontal, he does a quick swipe across a area he want's them to set up in. The two soldiers nod and they signal their MG teams over to set up where Otto wants them at and now.

With eighteen left to assign, he motions for them do a large curing sweep and closes his fist, quickly with practiced timing the machine gun teams open fire to suppress the Russian troops that where unaware of the the flanking assault.

The three squads quickly swing out and begin their attack immediately from the rear flanks of the rear guard of the Russian defenses.
