I watched him leave the room, thinking about what just happened. Did I finally have him? I sat down on my bed and strummed a few chords on my guitar. I smiled. For once in a long time, I actually smiled. I put down my guitar and closed my eyes.

"GET YOUR ASS UP, JACKY!!!" My mum stood in my doorway laughing. I almost fell out of bed. It's not like me to wake up late. I'm usually up at least an hour before I need to be in the morning. I slowly got up and threw on random clothes. It never really mattered to me what I wore as long as it was skinny jeans and some sort of band shirt. Most other things, ill refuse to wear. I looked at the clock and realized I had to leave if I wanted to be there early as usual. It's when Ryan and I hang out because he gets there early too. I ran a hand through my hair and scribbled on eyeliner. I'm sure it was a mess, but I didn't have time for mirrors right now. I grabbed my backpack and ran to school. When I got to my locker, I opened it and got my books for the first class. I was about to shut my locker when it shut for me. I jumped a little in shock then looked up at Ryan smiling at me.
"Hi!" He cheerfully yelled. I smiled as much as I could, being as tired as I am, taking the coffee out of his hand. I drank from the side that was facing away from him and he gave me an angry look.
"Sharing, are we?" Derek came down the hall wearing sunglasses.
"Derek, why are you wearing sunglasses inside in the middle of winter?" Ryan asked, avoiding Derek's statement.
"Because they're the shit and you know it." He pointed at his bright pink glasses. "Besides, I don't have the most ridiculous face in this hall." He nodded towards me and I looked at Ryan to see if Derek was just trying to annoy me.
"Jacky, did you look in the mirror today while applying eyeliner?" He laughed and wiped some off of my cheek. I knew I did a bad job, but, I didn't know it got all the way on my cheek.
"Woah, I'd ask what was going on but-" Mika started, but was cut off by Derek.
"Ryan and Jacky are totally gay together." He laughed. My heart kind jumped a little and Ryan turned towards him, taking his hand off of my face. Derek saw the look Ryan was giving him and started off down the hall.
"DEREK JONES GET YOUR FAT ASS BACK HERE!!" He yelled. When I couldn't see them anymore, I heard a teacher say something along the lines of 'Mr. Seaman!Watch your language!' And I turned my attention to Mika. He let out a laugh before starting, then his smile faded.
"Uh, I'm uh...I'm moving to New York." I dropped Ryan's coffee on the floor, getting it all over my shoes. That didn't matter right now. Mika's been my best friend for...forever I guess and now he's leaving. How does he expect me to take this? Now all I have are my 'friends' that are years older than me and I'll be all alone when they graduate.
"B-but you can't." I looked up. I was gonna miss that bright orange hair that I saw everyday.
"I'm sorry, my parents aren't really giving me much of a choice. I'll still text you and maybe you could come visit sometime!" He half smiled trying to make the news seem less awful. I fake smiled and pulled him into a hug.
"What am I gonna do without my shredding buddy." I said quietly.
"You can start by cleaning the coffee off your shoes and admitting to me that you have a huge ridiculous fucking crush on Ryan Seaman." I pushed him away and he smirked at me. I tried to ignore it, but I just gave up.
"Fine. But I swear if anyone finds out about it I'll-"
"Who am I gonna tell, I'm leaving after school." The bell rang and we both went to separate classes. I couldn't believe he was leaving. After school, I waited till most people were gone and just walked around. It was Friday so I didn't really have anything I should be doing. I stopped in front of Mikas locker an opened it. He always kept it unlocked so that he didn't have to bother with the lock. It was completely empty other than the 'GREEN DAY' I wrote in black sharpie on the door. That's right, I'm a badass *note sarcasm*. I was just sort of staring into it when I felt arms wrap around my waist.
