-Ryan's P.O.V-

I had school the day after I got there. Not only do I have to join a new school in the middle of the year, but I have to wear a uniform there. A fucking uniform.

I woke up to a baby screaming at about 6 am which was actually the time I was supposed to get up. I'd already unpacked the day before (for the most part), so I just had to get dressed.

The uniform was gray pants and a shirt that buttons with a tie. It took me over ten minutes to button it, having worn t shirts my entire life. I wore converse, not knowing what shoes you're suppose to wear with a uniform. There was also a jacket type thing with the schools crest on the left side. I still had no idea what the school was even called. I didn't really care. I'll only be going here for a few months, then I spend half of summer here. What the fuck am I supposed to do that whole time? It's not like I'm intending on making new friends.

After getting dressed, I went downstairs to the kitchen. My cousin Lydia was there, eating cereal. She goes to the same school and is about 2 years younger than me. So she's like 15 or 16. I can tell she's one of those bitchy girls, knowing her only since yesterday. I never really even had a full conversation with her but it's easy to see. She has blonde hair and her entire face is covered in makeup. Every time so far that i've seen her, she either has her phone in her face, or is giving me a look. This time it's the phone.

I have no choice but to walk with her to school. Considering I'd have no idea where to go otherwise. Unfortunately, I forgot my headphones. Fuck.

She ignored me most of the time, looking at the ground while she walked; Until she looked up at me with a weird look. That part's not really shocking. Of course, being her, how else would she look at me?

"Why are you here anyway?" She asked in a somewhat snobby tone. I wasn't really offended because I didn't want me to be here as much as she did. I sighed loudly.

"Do you think I want to be?"

"That's not what I asked," She replied, putting the emphasis on not. "I asked why." She rolled her eyes.

"Because my mom hasn't been home. I'm not eighteen yet. It's 'illegal'." I put air quotes on illegal.

"Why do you have to stay with us though?" She practically slapped me in the face with words, if that's a thing.

"Oh, I don't know? Your mom showed up at my boyfriends house and forced me to come here." I retorted, not monitoring anything I said, letting 'boyfriend' slip out.

She snapped her head up to me before I even finished my sentence giving me a disgusted look.

"Did you just say boyfriend?!" She said, as if I admitted to murdering her entire family, which I may have to do. "You're gay?!" She said quieter like it was a sin.

"Yeah, is that a problem?" She blinked and dropped her mouth open, before looking forward again and walking ahead of me.

Not that I gave a fuck what she thought, but, I'd never expect for anyone to react that way. Yeah, insults are definitely expected, but she acted like it was a horrible crime.

When we got to the school, we separated without a word. I went to find my class list, and she probably went to tell her slutty friends about "Her gay cousin from Utah who has to stay here until September". Because that's just how bitchy teenage girls are. Or at least what I know of from my old school. Yes, old school. Now, this shithole is where I go to school.

I found out what classes I had after about a half hour of looking. Turns out I had fucking maths first; my worst subject. Great way to start a new school.

After several classes, it was lunch. Most people were in the cafeteria eating, but some were going outside. I decided to avoid the cafeteria because tables. I'd have to sit with someone I I've decided everyone's an asshole.

The first thing I noticed when walking outside were two guys sitting away from everyone else; on the stairs which I'm assuming led to the library. They didn't really seam like assholes. Maybe I should talk to them?... Maybe.

Deciding I didn't give a fuck, I walked closer until I could almost hear their conversation. Just to make this clear: I wasn't "eavesdropping", I was just curious, okay? There was one sitting a step above the other. he was wearing only about 20% of the uniform. Ripped skinny jeans, no tie, no jacket, his shirt was untucked, and converse. I mean, I was wearing converse, but it's my first day so how the fuck would I know? He also looked kind of... Terrible I guess. He looked like he hadn't slept the night before or showered in a week.

"Won't you just relax, Benny?" He slurred before giggling. He had an obvious english accent.

"Relax?! You're asking me to relax?!" The other one yelled. He had the same messy hair as the first one and had spider bites. He actually wore the full uniform, though.

"Yeah! C'mon dude!" The first one laughed and tried to pull the other one toward him.

"Stop! I'm sick of this!" The second one pushed him away. " Talk to me when you're sober." And he walked away. The first one started to mumble and drink from a two liter pepsi bottle.

I'm starting to rethink this. Maybe he's not the right person to befriend.

Okay. whatever. What's the worst that could happen. I walked over and sat where the other guy was.

"H-hi... I'm Ryan." I said quietly.

"Danny." He replied, taking another drink and looking away.

"Soo... you um... Like Pepsi?" I asked, gesturing toward the bottle, just having nothing better to say.

He shook his head while swallowing, then slurred, "I put booze in here,", laughing. "Benny doesn't like when I do it." He frowned then laughed again.

Benny?" I tried to get him to explain. Talking to him wasn't that easy.

"Ben. My boyfriend." He giggled, drawing out the 'boy'. He was obviously very drunk.

"Well, if he doesn't like it when you drink, shouldn't you try to stop..?"

"Eh," He leaned back a little. "He's always with James anyway so who cares?"

And this is when I realised this was a whole thing I really didn't want to get involved in. I'd ask 'who's  James', and he'd tell me. Then he'd ask me to talk to James. then someone will get pissed at me for saying something or doing something wrong that I didn't even know was wrong. Then I'll officially be involved. It'd just be easier if the conversation ended here and I walked away. yeah. That sounds better.

I started to stand up.

"Well, uh, I guess good luck with figuring things ou-" Before I could even finish, Danny pulled me back down and crushed his lips into mine. I was just really shocked and confused at first, but quickly pushed him off.

"W-what the hell?! You have a boyfriend, a-and how would you know if I did or not!!"

"Oops," He just laughed a little. "Benny won't mind. Especially if he doesn't know it happened."

How fucking wonderful. Now I'm involved whether I want to be or not. What a great start to the year.

A/N: wow that's like the fastest I've ever updated. Maybe because I had part of this chapter already written a long time ago. I don't know. The next chapter MIGHT be in Jacky's POV because I have an idea. I don't know again. Sorry if this chapter has spelling errors or punctuation shit because I typed this in the dark on my roof (don't ask why) and the keyboard was kinda hard to see. oops. OH ONE LAST THING. If no one understood the booze in the pepsi thing, Danny said he actually did that in high school (maybe it wasn't pepsi specifically but I like pepsi so) in an interview. I'll attach it over here somewhere>>>
