Chapter 5-Struggling For The Truth

Mako opened his eyes and looked around. He saw Korra, Asami, and Bolin sleeping on the ground.

"Korra?" Mako questioned.

Korra instantly got up from the sound of Mako's voice. She was relieved he was ok. Mako was damaged though. He tried sitting, but even an inch of movement made a rush of pain scatter across his body.

"AHH!!" Shouted Mako as he fell back to his bed.

"Mako stop! Don't force yourself! You're just making more pain and it won't go away easily!" Korra pleaded.

Mako laid on his bed while Korra woke up Asami and Bolin. They were relieved with joy that Mako was ok. Asami went to Tenzin's room and woke him up. She lead him into Mako's room where he saw Mako in pain.

"Mako! You're ok!" Tenzin said. "How did this happen? Who did this to you? Are you ok?" Tenzin asked many questions.

"Tenzin I'm ok... Quit asking me that." Mako said with a chuckle. "Uh... When we went out to eat a guy told me that I would have the answers to the man that killed my parents if I went to the Pro-Bending Arena at midnight. I was ambushed by Equalist and they chi Blocked me... I couldn't move and the man came and attacked me...." Mako said as everyone stood there in silence.

Moments later...

"How could you Mako?! How could you be so foolish and leave without telling anyone? Mako, I thought you were smarter than falling into a trap like that!" Tenzin yelling at Mako.

"Tenzin! I went because I wanted to find the killer of my parents! I promised Bolin I will find that man and seek revenge! That man deserves to be struck down!" Mako screaming at Tenzin as tears began to fall from his face.

Bolin went to comfort Mako. He gave him a hug and Mako was tearing on Bolin's shoulders. Asami had to leave the room, she couldn't bear to be in there, having that conversation. She walked outside in tears, she had to get her mind clear of all this. Korra went running after her.

"Are you ok? I'm here if you need me." Korra said.

"Thanks." Asami said. "I always wanted to find my mother's murderer too. I never did..." She said as she started crying.

Asami sat on the steps and Korra sat next to her. She gave Asami a hug and told her how strong she was after her mother's death.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you Mako." Tenzin said.

"It's ok... I know I was pretty stupid." Mako said.

"No you're not!" Bolin said entering the conversation.

"Yes I am! How could I not see that was a trap?!" Mako yelled.

"Anger and sadness gets over us Mako. We don't think clearly on our decisions when we are mad." Tenzin said.

"Korra! Look here I found this next to Mako when you left to get Naga." Asami said handing over a paper with an address.

"Whose address could this be?" Korra questioned.

"I don't know... Maybe Mako's parent's murder?" Asked Asami.

"Let's go back to them." Said Korra and Asami nodded her head.

Mako nodded his head in reply. He promised that he would never do that again unless he consulted with everyone.
Korra and Asami came in Mako's room and Asami showed Mako the address.

"Whose address is this?" Mako questioned.

"I don't know, maybe your parent's murderer. He said he would tell you information if you came... It's right there." Asami answered.

"We have to go!" Mako answered as he tried getting up. In a second he fell back on his bed. He couldn't stand the pain. It rushed towards his abdomen where the man punched him.

"MAKO STOP!" Tenzin screaming at Mako.

"But we have to go......" Mako said.

"When you're better." Tenzin replied as he left the room.

"Come on Korra! We have to!" His eyes staring at Korra's.

"You heard Tenzin...." Korra said as she left the room to go get water.

"Asami....." Mako said, staring at Asami's bright green eyes.

"I'm sorry Mako.." Asami said as she ran off.

"Bolin, come on we have to go!" Mako said in a low voice.

Bolin didn't look at him. He just rubbed Pabu's back.

"BOLIN!" Screamed Mako

Tears began falling off of Bolin's eyes.

"Bolin, I'm sorry.... You know that I always wanted to find their murderer.... For them...." Mako pleaded.

"I know..." Bolin said rubbing away his tears. "I know you've done you best supporting me, keeping me safe. You promised me you would find their murderer I know...." Bolin said.

"Then why don't you help me?" Mako questioned.

"Look at you Mako.... You're not even well to get up and sit.. How are you supposed to walk and fire bend?!" Bolin yelling.

"Bolin..... Whatever I don't need your help! I'll get him by myself! No support or anything... That's how I've been my whole life! No help from anyone only me... Only me working! Only me supporting you! Only me taking care of you! EVERYTHING!!!!! ONLY ME!!!" Mako furious.

Bolin didn't say anything. He left Mako's room without a word.
