The Legend Of Korra: A New Treat

Chapter 2- Defeat Again

Korra woke up bright and early. She got up from her bed and left outside to meditate. She controlled her breathing, listening to the birds chirping, the river flowing, everything.


After about an hour Korra left and entered back to the Dinning Hall. Everyone greeted one another with good mornings. 
Everyone finished their eating and put their dishes away. Korra went outside when she was greeted by Bolin.

"Hey Korra." He said with a smile." You wanna go have a little match?" Questioned Bolin.

"Yeah sure! Let me go get Mako to speculate us." Korra said.

"Sure I'll meet you there." Bolin said.

Korra went inside and looked for Mako. He was laying in his bed, bored as usual. She asked him if he wanted to speculate them and Mako agreed. They ran outside to see Bolin stretching.

"Ready Bolin?" Korra asked.

"Yup, just doing some stretching." Bolin replied.

They both went to each end of the arena.

"Ok guys! Only Earth Bending and whoever knocks the other to the ground is the winner!" Mako yelled.

They both understood and began their match. Bolin sent pieces of rocks towards Korra, she easy dodged and sent one to Bolin as well. He ran away and stopped at the edge of the arena. Korra ran towards him. He just stood there.

(What's Bolin planning? Why is he just standing there) Questioned Korra.

She was about 3 yards from Bolin, then suddenly he brung a wall of rock right in front of him. It was too late for her to stop and she smashed onto the wall.

"Ouch!" Mako said.

Korra fell to the ground.

"Bolin! The winner!" Mako yelled as he was running towards Korra and Bolin.

"Hey Korra are you ok? I didn't hurt you too bad did I? Questioned Bolin as he helped her up.

"No I'm ok.....It's just that how could I fall for that trick? I was stupid!" Korra said angrily.

"It's okay Korra, mistakes happen..." Bolin said.

"But what if I was alone fighting Earth Benders? I would've lost!" Korra pleaded.

"You're not going to win all the time Korra. No one does." Bolin said.

"But I'm the Avatar! I'm supposed to win any battle that comes to me!" Korra said angrily as she was walking back inside.

"What happened?" Mako questioned.

Korra ignored him and kept walking. Mako asked Bolin why was she acting like that and he explained their conversation to him. 

Korra walked into her room and laid on her bed. Tenzin walked in a moment later and asked what's wrong. She explained how she lost both her matches with Mako and Bolin. Tenzin explained to her that even though she is the Avatar, that she will win and loose challenges. She accepted this and promised him that she will work harder on her bending. Tenzin began to leave her room until he stopped.

"Korra, I forgot to tell you, but we are going out to eat in the city. So get ready." Tenzin said as he left the room.

Everyone got ready for their dinner. They left Air Temple Island on the ferry and went to the city. They entered an restaurant filled with Earth Bending food. Bolin loved this and began eating many many food. Everyone ate until they were stuffed. Tenzin payed the bill an everyone left. Tenzin and his family in the front, Bolin talking with Asami and Korra in the middle, and Mako walking alone in the back.

"Hey kid." A voice called to Mako.

Mako turned around and saw a man. He had a jacket and a hat covering his face except his mouth.

"Kid, if you wanna know who killed your parents meet me at the Pro-Bending Arena at midnight." Said the man as he left.

"Wait!" Yelled Mako, but the man disappeared.

"Hey Mako! What's up?" Yelled Korra from the ferry's entrance.

"Oh...nothing...." Mako said as he was walking towards them.

They entered the ferry and made their way back to Air Temple Island. Everyone said their good nights and walked into each of their rooms. Mako walked into his room and saw the time, 10:30...

(One hour and thirty minutes to go.) Mako thought in his head as he looked outside into the night sky.

He saw the Pro-Bending Arena, it was not used since the destruction from when Amon attacked.

(Why there?) Mako questioned as he lay back and waited till the time came.
