Chapter 8- Asking For Forgivness

The next day began, everyone brushed their teeth, fixed their bed, got dressed and headed to the dinning room to eat breakfast. Pema cooked as usual. Asami helped pass out the plates and food around the table. Everyone sat down for breakfast, except for Mako. Bolin didn't think he was going to come and eat breakfast. He was furious with Bolin.

(Why is he furious? What did I do? Mako can you come here so I can speak with you? Is it because I kissed Asami last night?) Bolin asking himself all these questions.

Suddenly the door leading into the dinning hall opened. It was Mako. He didn't look good, he looked depressed, like he didn't get much sleep at all last night. Bolin stared at Mako, but he didn't look anywhere, except down at his plate and grabbing food. After he got his food he sat down at the end of the table where no one was. Everyone was quiet, everyone knew what happened the night before. No one decided to speak, but that just made tension grew between each other.

After, everyone finished their breakfast, Asami collected everyone's plates and went to go wash them with the help of Pema. Pema's children followed her to the kitchen as well. Tenzin, Mako, Korra, and Bolin were still sitting down at the table in silence. Mako looked down and Bolin was just staring at him. He wanted to speak with him, but he didn't want to with Tenzin and Korra around. Korra made eye contact with Tenzin and he made a face saying Bolin and Mako needed a time alone. So Tenzin and korra left the dinning hall to go outside and meditate.

Bolin wanted to ask Mako all these questions in his mind, but he didn't have the guts for it. Mako was about to get up and leave until Bolin said," Wait Mako."

Mako sat back down. He looked down, he didn't want to look at his brother. He knew he made a terrible decision, but there was nothing for him to do to change it.

"Mako. Please tell me why you are angry with me?" Bolin wanted to find out the truth.

Mako stood there in silence. He wanted to scream, yell, shout, punch, or do anything to show his anger towards Bolin. Mako knew if he did any of that, that would be a terrible mistake. The tension between them grew larger as the silence grew.

"What? Aren't you gonna say anything?" Mako said softly.

"Yeah. Why are you mad at me? What did I do?" Bolin questioned.

Mako sat there in silence. He was furious with Bolin. Mako didn't say anything.

"What. I asked you a question." Bolin replied again.

There was silence for a moment.

"Bolin... Why would you kiss Asami?" Mako asked looking at Bolin.

"What does it matter! You're with Korra! You know the Avatar!?" Bolin replied pointing in the direction Korra was at outside.

"I felt so heart broken when I saw you with Asami yesterday. Korra came and got me out of jail, she found the man who did the crime and I was being framed." Mako said. "And you didn't believe me! When I told you that I was being framed and I said I didn't kill anyone! You're my brother! You're supposed to believe what I tell you!" Mako's voice began to increase with anger.

"Whoa.. Mako calm down!" Bolin said showing hand gestures to calm Mako down.

Mako was taking in heavy breaths.

Mako's face was getting red with anger. Bolin had angered him so much.

"Mako. I'm sorry that I didn't believe you when you told me you were innocent. But I'm not sorry for kissing Asami. I like her, a lot. When I was with her out in the beach yesterday, I felt all the pain and suffering went away. I was relieved and I kissed her. We didn't feel sorry for what we did when we saw you and Korra." Bolin said as he started to stand up and head towards the door.
