"These dumb posters won't stay up! No matter how much tape I put up they keep falling!" Rapunzel was helping me hang up my campaign posters during free period. She was clearly having difficulty with one of them. She blew out a big breath and a strand of her hair flew in the air and fell back into place on the side of her pink, flustered cheek.
I laughed and went over to her side. "I told you to just use duct tape. It's stronger." "It's so thick though, it'll cover half of your poster!"
"Rapunzel, you don't have to put up tons of tape. Also, if you don't want it to be seen at all then just put it in the back." I cut a piece of tape and rolled it up so the sticky part can be all around on the outside. I placed it on the corner of the poster in the back and continued to do it to the other corners.
I then placed it against the wall and pressed. "There. See? It's not covering the poster." Rapunzel stared at the poster for a bit and then sighed.
"I'm so done with that poster." I smiled. "Yeah, I'm sorry." I patted her arm gently.
We left that hallway and went off to the one next to it. We spotted Merida and Anna putting up her posters. We walked over to them, my poster bouncing against my leg.
"Hey guys! How's it going with the poster hanging?" Anna asks a smile on her face.
Rapunzel was the first to speak. "Annoying, I basically just had a battle with one of Elsa ' s dumb posters." She said with a grumpy face. She can be such a kid when she wants too.
Merida laughed. "Oh las, you're so strange." Anna giggled, her hand covering her mouth.
I laughed a little too. "Yeah, it was pretty tense. Luckily, though, we over powered it and we're able to put it up."
Merida rolled her eyes playfully. "So, when are thee elections anyway?" "In a week, barely enough time to give things out and convince people!" Anna says frustratingly.
"Don't worry Anna, I doubt you won't make it." Rapunzel says confidently. I smile and nod in agreement, but I was secretly freaking out.
We only had a week left and I don't think I would be able to pull this off.
First, I have never, ever done this before; second, not many people know me well enough to were they would elect me; and third, I had really good competition.
Not just Jack, but two other smart, well known people. I'm creamed. Wait, no. I am going to be positive and try.
"Elsa? Are you okay?" "Yeah! Yeah fine." I say convincingly to Anna. She looks at me for a second and then smiles. "Alright. Well, I got to go guys, I have English next and Miss Till hates it when we're late."
We wave goodbye to Anna and she hurries down the hall. Meanwhile, Merida, Rapunzel, and I headed over to the cafeteria for lunch. We went over to our usual table (which was now with the guys) and saw Hiccup there.
"Hey Hiccup." "Hi guys." He said smiling faintly and giving a little wave. "You guys are here early."
"Yeah, we were putting up campaign posters." Rapunzel said taking a seat beside me. "Cool, I was putting up some of mine as well."
Just then Flynn and Jack walked in the cafeteria and came over to us. Flynn sits down beside Rapunzel and looks Hiccup in the eye. "So, are you ready for your audition for us?" Flynn asks one eyebrow raised.
Hiccup stared back, red creeping up on his neck. "No. I don't want to do this." "Dude you have to at least try. It would be so cool if you performed there too. The girls and I are already doing it, you should too. We just need you and something for Flynn."
