Old School Crush

Annie Pov;

The world as we know it, is gone. L is stupid enough to know that I'm changing it. It's been a couple of weeks since I last saw him. I don't know where we stand anymore. I'm pretty sure I was not sure, but in love with him. And he was always in love with me. A stalker, that's who he is. And he means nothing more than that to me. That's where we stand.

" You haven't killed anyone today Annie. What's going on?" Ryuk asks me as he hovers above me

" I'm meeting Light Yagami today. I'll kill someone when I get there" I reply as I reach out for my phone

11 missed calles from Ryusaki!
I haven't been on my phone for only an hour.

Do I dare to answer? No, no! You're stronger than this. Don't let L get to you.

" Wow. Looks like you're pretty popular"

" It's just down to one stalker" I say

" If you ask me it seems like he's pretty obsessed with you"

I stomp up from my seat!

" Well then, I need to sort this out. Now Ryuk, I know you won't just give me his name so I can control or kill him. So I just need him to give it to me" I plan

If I tell him it's a date, I will say that unless he gives me his name,  I will leave him forever. If he's obsessed with me, I must use it as an advantage.

I should be meeting Light. But I have a date to plan.

L Pov;

It's been a while since I've seen her. I, I love her. She can't just get away.

I grab my phone to call her once again, only to see a message coming from Annie.

' L, I'm so sorry of my actions the other time. Would you come to dinner with me at 8pm tonight?' it says

Annie, does she like me now? It's so confusing. It's not, not like her.

But I love her, so I'll go.

' Of course Annie, you know I love you' I answer

Good move Annie, not good enough. I'm on to you, I know you don't love me back. There's no need to lie to me.
She got me.
But I got her.

Annie Pov;

Yes! He answered right away! That was quick. Now all I have to do is wait. I need to wear something nice, my blue faded dress. Perfect. L will never suspect a thing. I have to create a diversion, and I'm his only diversion.

L Pov;

Annie. I can see right through this. I know it's all a diversion. Because you know you are my own diversion to escape reality. You are the reality, that's what makes this so interesting.

I might have a little crush. But there's something you must know,

I won't hesitate!

Annie Pov;

I know you have a crush on me or something. So I'm using it as my advantage. To catch the criminal, you need evidence, something you don't have!

I will get your name and I will not hesitate to kill you!

My mind. What have I become? But L has kind of grown on me. I'm used to him being around. Maybe I will hesitate.

" Why the pausing. Are you hesitating?" Ryuk laughs

He's reading my thoughts!

" Get out of my head!" I shout across the room for him only to be right above me floating.

" It's my job to read your thoughts Annie. Otherwise I would be bored for days. I can also read L's thoughts" Ryuk mumbles lastly so I can't hear the last sentence, but I did anyway

" You can read.. L's thoughts" I say shocked

All this time. He could even tell me L's real name.

L's secret would be mine. All I have to do is get his real name, then I can kill him and there would be no evidence to prove I did anything.

L, what is your name?

L Pov;

I feel cowardly. Hiding from her. But if I gave her my name, she would immediately try to eliminate me. I know she won't hesitate to do so. But I wish that deep down, she would end up regretting thinking that she could.

I don't know how I'm going to tell her. But I know it won't be easy.

All I can think of is that night, then night she almost kissed me. She came ever so close, and said " I don't date the insane". She's right, I may be insane, but I'm not the only one.

Now I've cleared my head, kind of. I've got an hour to get ready for the "date".
As if. I know she will try to get my name, that's because I'm going to give it her myself. She will get the biggest shock of her life.

I take a shower in the relaxing bathroom. Disturbance. I miss it. I miss having Annie around. That time when she showered and came in the wrong room. Luckily she had on a towel, but she looked so cuddly. Her hair dripping down. She looked graceful. Her eyes looked brighter as the hair was darker because of the water. She looked scared, but nothing worth hiding. She just laughed it off.

I wonder why her mind has chosen to win against me. Before, she had nothing against me. Probably a bad mood, she'll snap out of it soon.
