Annie Pov;

I'm confident. Today I will eliminate L, but I will have to find his name to do so. I'm pretty sure I'll get it. L's easy to trick.

Walking into the darkness. 7:45, It will only take me another 10 minutes to arrive. L will probably just get a limousine to drive him here, Matsuoka. I miss Matsuoka, he was really nice to me.

I see a black car coming towards me on the wrong side of the road. I can't quite see.

" Annie" a voice says

I know that voice. I haven't heard it in so long

" Ryusaki" I have to call him by his fake name

We run towards eachother like another breath. He grabs hold of me and gives me a hug. I don't think we have ever had a moment this emotional. I miss him. I don't know why, but I suddenly do.

" I missed you Annie. All of this work to do without you. I miss having you around" he groans

" I know. I miss you too" I reply

He grabs my hand into the car. Memories flash! I remember all of those times he would grab my hand when we went into the jet, car, anywhere. Is he afraid of losing me?

Matsuoka drives towards the restaurant. 7:50, good timing.

" Thankyou, Matsuoka" I say

" You're welcome, Annie" he answers

I can see him hiding a fresh, bright smile. Whilst L takes me out to the restaurant. He looks rather dashing. He might be overdressed. But I can't joke.

" This way" the waiter directs us

The waiter serves us a nice table with 2 seats right next to the window of the views of Japan. This is where we properly met. The memories keep coming back. When he came closer and closer and told me he was L, I was shocked. My second time here, what a blast.

" Annie, are you okay. You don't think I suspect you do you?" he asks

" Not anymore. You've convinced me" I lie

A waiter serves the receipt for the VIP seats. I can see his full name on it! All I need to know is the first name!

L-Lawliet!

I blink for 3 seconds. The redness appears again. Choose, for L to have a heart attack! This is it. Should I? I don't know!

" L. I mean, Ryusaki. Do you really think we're close?" I ask

" Annie! You're hesitating!" Ryuk says above me

L laughs. Why is he laughing?!

" L!" I shout

" Sorry. We have a lot in common, I love you, you don't love me" he says

He still loves me. Should I give him a few days or?

" Annie, I don't want to alarm you. But what if I said L could see me" Ryuk says

WHAT!? L CAN SEE RYUK! NO WAY. THEN HE WOULD KNOW I WAS BEHIND THE MURDERS! WHAT?!

L starts laughing again. I can't help but think that he's not lying. Ryuk never tells me anything. Why would he tell me now?

" I'm sorry Annie. Where were we?"

" Eliminate him Annie!" Ryuk whispers in my ear

I suddenly stomp up out of my seat

" NOOO!" I shout

" Annie! Are you okay?" L asks

" I'm not fine" I say

" Hey maybe dinner was a bit early. I have something I want to show you at the investigation centre" L explains

What? Dinner over. Thank god. I don't think I could stay in there a second longer.

L grabs my hand. I feel safe. I don't know why I didn't try to kill him. I almosy did, but I failed.

I trust him again. These feelings, coming straight from the heart and into my head. My heart is refusing to kill L.

" You hesitated, why is that?" Ryuk whispers in my ear as I watch L looking through the window. Watching the pleasure of views of Japan.

Ryuk. Get out of my head! I think to myself. He's right though. I can't deny it.

We arrive at the investigation centre. Safe and sound. L takes my hand inside. He's such a gentleman. Matsuoka decides to stay in the car as we both head inside.

He takes me inside to a cold room of darkness, I'm shivering. L switches on the lights after locking the door. I look around myself only to see Light in a cell with his head to the ground, covered in blood! Dripping down his handcuffed poorly hands! He's been captured.

I'm- I'm next!

I run towards Light filled with sorrow in my eyes not turning to L beside me.

He's not responding! I'm I'm next! He suspected me all along! He was always one step ahead of me! He only said he liked me, just to get closer. THAT JERK!
