Annie Pov;

No. Why would L do this?!

" Annie" I hear Light shriek with pain

He's weak. He can barely say words.
He's breathless, finding his way through the pain, it's impossible!

" Annie .........," he coughs

" Run"

I shriek too! He wants me to run without being caught. But I'm, I'm already caught. L .. wins.

" Annie go!" he shouts with agony

I get up from the floor with Light's blood on my hands. It almost looks like I did this, but it's L. I give him a deadly stare. I blink for 3 seconds, the redness appears again. Options, kill L.Lawliet.

Instantly, L begins to fall to the ground. I know Light's a goner, so I'm bot gonna fall like him, I will run.

I rush through the door, to see L's hand glued to my leg, he won't let go!

" Lawliet! Get off of me!" I shout whilst crying

" Annie, don't leave" L coughs

I just can't trust him again! Why is he being like this. He may have won the battle, but I will be the one to win the war!

I grab the gun from the chair close to the door, and I pull the trigger close to his arm. He let's go. I'm- I'm free!

I rush out the door, and to find the car with Matsuoka inside to be gone. All I can do is run, far away. But, where?

" Annie!" I hear a voice shout

" Ryuk?" I ask

" I shouldn't be telling you this, since I'm not on yours or L's side. But I think you need to listen to L right now. He's smarter than you think. He won't die like this, even if you shoot'im" Ryuk explains

I turn around with blood dripping from my hands. I can't go out in public like this. They will just bring me back to L. And of couse he's gonna die! No hesitation this time, it's unforgivable!

" I don't want to listen to what L has to say. He will die, and I will get away with it that easily. I worked hard to get this close to him. I'm not turning back" I say whilst running through the shadows without being seen

Ryuk probably just wants to return to the shinigami realm. To do that, my life needs to end. And I'm not going down! Not over L! I will win this war!

Running for my life. I see no one behind me. I'm safe

L Pov;

She's stupid! She saw me almost kill Light! Why is she trying to run away, she clearly won't get far. Even if she tried to kill me and shot me afterwards.

I get up with my wounds healing slightly. Light is beginning to lose all hope, his blood all over him. He's almost dead. It will only be easier if he is. I take Light's phone, I know Annie has hers right now.

" Lawliet. Why are you messing with me?" Light tries to cough out his silent words that aren't the slightest effective

" Because It's fun" I smirk as I walk behind the door awaiting for Annie to return.

I know she hasn't gone far yet. Especially with Light's blood all over her.

I hear crunching footsteps running towards the door.

I see the knob of the creaky slamming door turn and twist like spirals

I see her rushing towards Light. Light can barely speak. He won't be able to tell her I'm right behind her.

" Light! Are you okay!? Where's the key?" she asks with a new layer of tears running like waterfalls down her face

One turn is all I have.

She turns behind her only to see my gun pointing to her face.

" L-Lawliet...L" she cries

I can see her shivering with shock knowing I'm alive and ready to shoot!

" L, please no!" she cries

One shot is all I've got. One trigger pulled and she's dead. Annie, no hesitating now. I'm sorry I have to do this, I don't want to. But it's to keep our secret safe.

I put my finger closer to the trigger of the gun as I see her eyes filled with sorrow, hatrid, anger, sadness and regret.
