Käti's P.O.V.

It had been 6 days since that night. Almost a week...and I was sure that this wasn't a dream, but I didn't know how it could be real.

I had woken the next morning to find myself on a rocking ship in the middle of nowhere with Carter watching over me.

Yes.

I said Carter.

I'll explain...

Flashback***

"My eyes opened heavily as the rocking in the ship made my stomach threaten sickness. Why was I on a ship?

"How are you feeling?" The familiar voice from last night asked. I turned my head wearily to face him, gasping at what I saw.

"Carter?!" I basically yelled at his confused, handsome face. "What....how...why...." I sputtered. "How did you get out?"

The man frowned. "Who's Carter?"

That made me frown back. "Who's Carter? You're Carter!"

He shook his head slowly. "That is a very strange name...and most certainly not mine. I'm Eric...remember?" He was looking at me like I'd lost it. "Maybe you need more rest." He suggested softly. "We'll be in Athens soon enough...then I have a friend who'll be able to help you..."

I nodded, not sure what was going on, and laid back down as Carter....Eric....whoever he was walked out of the small room.

What in the world is going on?"  End Flashback****

What in the world is going on....I was still wondering that. But I'd at least come to terms with the fact that I was in Greece...

Currently...I was really sick. Whether it was sea-sickness or something else, I couldn't figure, and niether could anyone else on the ship.

I had a fever, I was sweating and shivering uncontrollably, I wasn't eating and I was hallucinating.

My hallucinations just made me more confused....I was seeing my father and my mother...and a little boy...I didn't understand. I didn't know what my parents looked like until a few weeks ago when I saw the pictures that my grandfather had shown me. So why was I having "memories" of them...and of a little boy.

I was thier only child...

But I guess...that's why they're called hallucinations.

I distantly heard someone above deck yell "Land! Athens is near!"

A while later There was a scampering of feet and then the door to the room I was in opened. Carter..I mean...Eric...Walked in with a smile. "Ready to go Käti?" He asked softly as he picked me up, carrying me out into the daylight.

I groaned. My head was reeling from the brightness and I felt super dizzy as Eric handed me off to someone else. "Thanks for this Julian." He said to the man he'd handed me to.

He kissed me gently on the forehead. "I'll see you soon." He said before he turned to a dark haired, very tanned woman. "Take good care of her Gena." The woman nodded as he walked away.

I wanted him to stay, but was too weak to say so. Besides...he'd said he'd see me soon.

Gena's P.O.V.

I instructed Julian to put Käti on the small cot in the corner of my dark room. It was silent, and away from the city enough that we would not be disturbed. We would be safe here.

"Come back in a few days...she should be better by then." I told him quietly, so as to not wake the sleeping girl.

Julian nodded. His dark eyes smiled through the worry. "Do you think we should tell her?"

I shook my head. "Not all of it...not yet...The more she finds out on her own, the better." I glanced over to Käti. "I will tell her a little though...but nothing about you...and nothing about Carter. She should find that out for herself..."

Julian nodded and looked out the small window of the cottage. "I should be heading back, before anyone wonders where I've gone. I'm sure Eric will be needing my assistance."

I smiled warmly at him as he walked to the door, kissing my quickly before leaving. Turning to Käti I frowned as she started to mumble in her sleep.

I remembered getting the hallucinations. It was the worst part about transitioning. But if it had already been a week, like Eric said...then it should be over soon, with the right medicines.

Grabbing my medicine bag I got to work, dabbing aromas on her skin, giving her small doses of tonics...it was all stuff that I'd used, and that Julian had used, and many others before us.

Soon Käti was sleeping peacefully, with me sitting nearby, just waiting. I wasn't surprised that Käti seemed worse off than any others I'd seen going through transitioning. It was to be expected.

There was something different about her. She wasn't like the rest of us...I was determined to find out what it was, and Julian was too. But we both had to wait until we could get out of Athens.

We'd been here for months...which was strange, since normally none of us stay in a place longer than 3 months. No one except Carter. There was something different about him too.

Whatever it was, it had connected Carter and Käti, and it involved Julian and I.

Käti's groaning moved me from thoughts as I got up quickly. I sat next to her sleeping form, whispering softly and comforting her, while praying that this would all end soon so that we could move on.

I was anxious to find out answers...as I was sure Käti would be as well.

Just a little more time...I thought tiredly.

Sorry...short chapter...filler's are nessacary. :P

I hope you enjoyed it though!
