Hello everyone! This is the last chapter of His Doctor, and I hope you enjoy it and review :)

Chapter 47

If one could injure their face trying to hide their feelings behind one expression, Jo-Ann would have done so by now. She wasn't upset with the wedding, oh no! In fact, she wasn't even upset with the tipsy guests or the flustered caterer.

It was the wine.

She chose it too, but now it was making her absolutely ill. She didn't want to make it seem as if she was unhappy with it or complaining over something so small, but if she had to take one more bloody sip, she was going to vomit again. Yes, she was experiencing a taste change and she knew exactly what it was from, that's why she was trying to hide it so much.

She was hoping the symptoms of her pregnancy wouldn't be as bad as this so soon, but she was getting hungrier when the trays of snacks where being passed and she was trying not to grab too many. Surely people would get suspicious if they saw her eating so much before dinner was even served. Even if other people noticed, she was worried about Sherlock the most.

What would he think about her pregnancy? Would he even want a child? From everything she knew of him, the answer was no. Jo-Ann sighed a bit, only for a moment, before she had to smile again and continue speaking with a friend. Sherlock noticed, though, and she knew it.

"Oh. Oh my god!" Jo-Ann smiled and set down her drink, picking up her dress a little to speed-walk to the man who just cleared the security. Sherlock looked with confusion as his new wife greeted the guest with a salute. He wore a Major's best uniform and stood with excellent posture, his scarred face smiling a bit at Jo-Ann. Sherlock narrowed his eyes, not liking the way Jo-Ann looked at him with such pride, joy, and old remembrance.

"Major Sholto?" Sherlock leaned towards Marius to ask, keeping his eyes on his wife. Marius nodded happily,

"We didn't think he'd make it here, but Jo-Ann was very hopeful." He smiled and looked at the bride as well. Sherlock let his disinterest show in the twitch of his brow but couldn't help the jealousy rising in his throat. "She said he's an old friend from Afghanistan and the most unsociable man she's ever met."

"He is-He is the most unsociable?" the groom snapped and nodded a little, ignoring Marius's smile. "Well... that's why she's bouncing around him like a.. puppy." He mumbled and looked at the floor. Marius smiled more and put an arm around Sherlock's shoulders, giving him a squeeze.

"Oh Sherlock. Neither of us were the first, you know." He said quietly and looked up at the detective with a signature bittersweet smile. Sherlock glanced at him and understood, but wouldn't show it.

"Stop smiling."

"It's a wedding, Sher." Marius laughed and shook his head while Sherlock walked away to bother Mycroft.

After a gourmet dinner, which Jo-Ann tried not to both scarf down and simultaneously gag at, Marius rose from his seat at the wedding party table and tapped his glass with a clean knife. The small crowd quieted down and Sherlock cursed under his breath. He was not looking forward to this after looking up samples of a best man speech. The last thing he needed at his own wedding was reminders of his abnormal behavior. However, if he trusted anyone with this speech, it would be Marius. It would probably be more praise than anything.

"Well, hello everyone, hope you enjoyed the meal we paid a lot to have." Marius chuckled and cleared his throat. Jo-Ann smiled softly and held Sherlock's hand, leaning forward a bit to see Marius better. "As you all know, I've only known Sherlock and Jo-Ann for about three years now, but in that time, I've gathered plenty of interesting stories of these two and I'll be happy to tell one now." He smirked and Jo-Ann laughed, shaking her head while Sherlock looked legitimately worried.
