It's nearly 4am in the morning and yet, the both of us are still widely awake. He continues on with his story, telling me everything—about his past, about his deeds. We remained close together, lying on his bed. For some reason, he decided to face the other side, while I remain to bury my face against his back—silently listening, hearing his heart beating, and feeling his trembling body. I know how aniue's repressing everything, but still, I'm trying to understand everything even if his past is somewhat, twisted as for everyone's perception.

"When we were about to meet for the 2nd time around—I was really excited that day, wondering what would my mother treat me again." He pauses and chuckles. "Will it be another street food? Or is it that she'll tour me around Tokyo—it delighted me, thinking about it...but unfortunately, I never had the chance to experience everything with her again. I didn't know that our first meeting would eventually be our last. It pains me. This memory of mine, it pains me every time I remember it, even today. It pains me."

I gasped.

"Why?" I whispered.

There was a long pause before he could even continue on with his story. I could hear his heart thump faster and faster. Whatever happened, it surely made him suffer.

"We were supposed to meet up in a certain park but then, when she was about to cross the street to meet me—a...a fast car suddenly approaches. It didn't bother to slow down. It went on as if the place is a highway. For heaven's sake, the place is full of people, the driver could at least slow down. But for some reason, he didn't. The next thing I saw is that, it hit her."

"huh?"

"What's worse is that the driver ran away." He gasps before he even could continue. "she died in my arms."

"Aniue... I'm so sorry."

"You don't have to."

His voice was cold and deafening.

"A few weeks later, I knew why she's been hit—she was killed. By your mom Yuki. She was jealous of her for some reason, and she wanted mother to disappear for good. I heard everything—how he paid those men to just run over her like a useless thing."

I gulped. I never knew anything about it, about how my mother could be so heartless. I wanted to know her side as well, but she's no longer here.

"My heart shattered when I overheard her conversation with an unknown man. Hate clouded up my mind at that time. All I ever thought of was to avenger my mother no matter what happens—even if it would cost me everything."

"The night you were burning up with fever, they decided to rush you to the hospital. Before anything else—I drained out the car's braking fluid and made sure your dad would use that car no matter what. I acted as if I was concerned about you, so I helped them out. Before the car ran out of brake fluid, I intentionally parked it in front of the house and endorsed the car to them."

It's rather painful to hear those words coming out from him. Even if I'm trying my best to understand his situation, I still could feel a pang deep inside of me. After all, he coldly plotted everything in order to kill our parents, and me.

"They used it of course. Then, an hour later, the police called and said they had a car crash—and that all of you were in a critical condition."

"..."

"At that time, if I could only leap with joy, I would have done so. But I have to contain everything and act as if I'm worried and distraught about the accident."
