Everything's different when we arrived here. The atmosphere seems to be lighter now that I'm with him.

"Yuki, wake up. We're here now."

I opened my eyes and found my head leaning on Daiki's shoulder. Immediately, I sit up, move away from him, startling with my face  turning red.

"S-s-sorry." I mutter, now with my face obviously flushing of embarrassment.

As I stepped out of the car, the cold winter air suddenly brushes through my face. I have been sleeping ever since we rented a cab from the airport, I didn't have the chance to see the whole estate. It's a waste though. And, instead of staying at their main house, he preferred that we should stay in a quaint and simple cottage owned by their estate's caretaker that is a hundred meters away from it. It's a small cottage made out of stone and it's surrounded by vines--scattering all throughout the house's walls. We are as well surrounded by lifeless trees covered with white powdered snow.

"I can imagine if we are here by spring--this place will be lovely and will be filled with the greenest trees and colorful flowers." I smiled at him as I inhaled the cold, fresh air.

"Do you want to stay here till spring?" He teasingly asks me.

"We have to graduate fist Daiki." I chuckled.

"But it's okay Yuki. You'll love it here especially during the winter season."

"Why is that?"

"We're going to prepare for a celebration tonight. It's their December tradition."

"What kind of celebration??"

"It's a secret." He smiles. "But first, let us unload our luggage and help Mr. and Mrs. Ashford here."

He gladly introduces me to the old but jolly couple by standing together by the house's wooden door.

"I would like to introduce to you my bestfriend, Miura Yuki."

He utters in fluent, British English. I didn't know he could speak so well. I feel ashamed of my English, since I normally converse in Japanese and nothing else. I blushed.

"N-nice to meet you." I bowed before them.

"Is he the boy you're talking about?" Mr. Ashford replies. "My name's James Ashford, and here's my wife, Victoria Ashford--it's definitely a pleasure having you here with us. Welcome to Oxford England."

I remain speechless. Bashfully, I gazed at Daiki. I feel so intimidated having to converse with a foreigner.

"T-Thank you for your hospitality--uhh...towards me..."

"He's just a shy lad--you'll get used to him." Daiki laughs.

As a result we all laughed all of our hearts out. Afterwards, the old couple helped us with our luggage while we were as well preparing our other personal belongings inside of our room. I'll be staying inside a quaint room, in parallel to Daiki's. My room's simple--it's a traditional English themed room, having a single sized bed located on its corner, the walls are coated with pastel wallpapers of flowers, the floor, covered in a crimson colored, soft carpet. The whole room gives off a calming feeling as it has a faint lavender scent on it, and not to mention, it's quite cool inside even if the heaters are turned on. As I sat on the bed, it was indeed, unbelievably soft. I could sleep all day on this bed. Everything out here is very comfortable. As expected from an English country home like this.

For a while I decided to lay myself on the bed for a little while. I can't believe how tiring it is to travel from Japan to here. I can't sleep a wink when we were inside the plane for some reason. Maybe it's because I'm not used to long travels like this. The last time I took a plane, is when I was in middle school--when we had a trip to Kyoto, a trip only aniue approved of.
