"I think something bad is going to happen," Arthur said.
We've had been walking for forty five minutes when Scar said, "Follow the torches," she didn't mention the long ass hallways.
"Come on, I think the torch line in finishing," Liz said, walking quicker. We ran to the end of the hall until we saw Matthew standing there, waiting for us.
"I'm sorry for before Miss, but you are beautiful for a eighteen year old," He said, getting a glare from Arthur and Liz. "Sparrow is waiting . . . shall we?" He opened the dark wood door to a room where there was a gathering full of assassins. They knew we were coming, because all eyes were on me.
"Everyone! Here is the leader of the Night Thieves," Matthew said. We looked at the throne in front of the banners on the wall. There was a man sitting on it, smirking at me. I then realised who it was. It was the leader of the Assassins.
Sparrow.
"I'm surprised a young, independent women like yourself is a leader of these thieves. These weak, untrained thieves---" he said.
I was angered at what he said. No one says anything about my family. "You have no right to say that about my family! I was trained to become a leader, and I've trained my family to be the best and not fail. And, yes, I might be eighteen, but I'm stronger than you think!" I said, making his eyes go wide. Then, I felt a knife against my throat.
"Don't you dare talk to him like that again, got it?" Scar said.
"Scar, leave her alone. She's right. They are strong."
Scar's knife left my throat, and she moved away from me.
Sparrow rose up from his chair and walked towards me. His face was close to mine, and I could feel his breath on me. He leaning down, and I could then feel his breath blow against my ear.
"Victoria, you are very attractive, when you're angry," he whispered.
My eyes widened. How did he know my name? Suddenly, I felt someone grab me and pull me back. I looked back to see Arthur holding me. I was still shocked.
"Now, now, shall me and Miss Night have a private conversation?" he asked. I could tell Arthur and Liz didn't like this."Matthew, show these two home through a different route, and this time, I don't want any guards arresting you." Matthew nodded.
I saw Liz and Arthur look unsure, but I nodded at them. Then, Arthur came up to me. "Be careful . . . ok?" he said.
I nodded. "I'll be fine. I'm a big girl. You taught me everything I know." He smiled before walking out of the gathering room with Liz.
"Shall we then?" Sparrow asked. I nodded, following him into a hall. It was silent, and no one was talking.
"So, are you and---what's his name? . . . Arthur? Close?" he asked.
All of a sudden, I shook my head, laughing to myself. "No. He was one of the people who took me away and looked after me. Later, he trained me and made me leader." I explained.
He nodded. Suddenly, I felt his hands on my waist and getting pushed against the wall. He stared at my face for a couple of minutes.
"You have your father's fire, and your mother's skill. I'm surprised you're not seen as someone's little slave. I would love to have you around my legs, and there is something in between them that I would also love to have you around," Sparrow said, smirking, then letting go of me. "Come on! We have a lot to talk about."
