Chapter 50: The Jewel of France

"Hey Sparrow join us." Jacob hiccuped afterwards, making me let out a little laugh.

"Who's this?" I heard my brother ask, and then I guess the alcohol decided to make me feel more confident.

"Don't you recognise a familiar face, father would be fucking surprised to see me after so many fucking years." I turned my face around to look at him, Sparrow hadn't changed at all still but he had a little beard. Sparrow was shocked his expression on his face didn't change but it changed in his eyes.

"Calm down James we're having fun don't let a brotherly argument spoil it." Jacob said to me but I just shrugged it off.

-Sparrow-

"Aye. Sparrow join us, have some fun before you go back to your leader ways."  My own brother here after so many years, I wasn't happy he was here to be honest but it was good to see him still alive.

"You're embarrassing yourself brother. Now stand up before any of the others see you." I said as I grabbed his arms and pulled him up to stand up, I let go of him and he almost fell backwards making Jacob laugh. "Now both of you get to bed." I said then gesturing Matthew to come over. "Matthew will show you to your room and please try and make sure sure you get rid of your last night problems in the morning." I said as Matthew dragged them to their rooms. I sighed before walking to my room, I opened my door to see Victoria looking at a painting on the wall of me, James and my father. The painting was painted by my mother as she loved to paint anything she saw in a dream or just a family painting when we were growing up. I closed the door making her look at me from her side.

"Why didn't you tell me before you had a brother and that you lied about yourself to me?" I walked over to Victoria as she turned around to face me.

"I didn't want you to get hurt by my lies." I said to her placing my hands on her waist.

"If you lie to me again I will kill you Sparrow." Victoria threatened me I nodded quickly. "I must go I need some sleep."

"Stay with me." I said a bit too quickly, Victoria sighed and then nodded, making me smile. I turned around to face the bed and then I feel Victoria's small hands push me onto the bed making her laugh. I grabbed her hand bringing her down with me, I laid to my side and she then moved to lie next to me. "Good night Victoria." I said kissing her the side of her head making, me place my head on her shoulder as I then fell asleep to her light breathing.

I woke up to see an empty spot next to me and I realised that our life's were gonna go back to normal.

The time was around five o'clock in the morning and the sun rise was occurring, making the sun shine on us as we sat on a rooftop looking over to the king George the second standing outside of his kingdom waiting with over twenty guards surrounding him. "So what are we looking?" Jacob asked looking through his telescope. I kept watching until I saw the carriage with a royalty symbol on the door.

"That is what we are looking for." I said pointing at the carriage looking at Jacob. I grabbed the telescope from Jacob and looked through it, then I saw two guards go and open the carriage door. I smirked and then passed the telescope back to Jacob. "Have a look." Jacob sighed before looking through the telescope. I looked back and saw a man with a French symbol on his suit and he had a gold crown on his head, he walked over to King George leaving the other guards to get anyone else out of the carriage. The next women must've been the queen.

"She's fucking ugly and fat." Jacob said laughing at her, I smacked his shoulder telling him to shut up, you don't just call a woman fat. And then a young woman about my age maybe a bit older came out of the carriage.

"Wow she beautiful." I heard Jacob. I shook my head and kept looking at all of them. And then the luggage on the carriage was taken off by the rest of the guards and taken into the kingdom, the carriage left leaving the Royals outside. I grabbed the telescope that Jacob had in his hand and looked into it, I looked over the new comers and saw French symbols on the older woman and the King I see of France. I looked over to see the young woman, she had a crown on her head and her dress had diamonds plaited on.

"That's their Jewel, their daughter. We to get inside."

"Hold on, did you see the guards that were just here. Imagine what it's gonna be like on the inside. I'm not risking my life for a child." Jacob said sitting on the roof looking back at me.

"You can either join me and find out why they're here or you can watch out for anyone coming." I said getting myself ready to go, I was about to jump off when I heard a sigh come from Jacob.

"Fine." Jacob jumped down with me as the guards left the entrance so there was only two guard that were standing outside. The guards were distracted so we decided to sneak by them before they looked to where we were, we stood inside and the place looked huge but the stuff inside was worth just as much as the King. "Now where do we go?" Jacob whispered as we hide in the shadows.

"I'll go and find out why they're here, you go and find something valuable in one of the bedrooms away from everyone." I told Jacob and he nodded as he snuck his way to the stairs as for I. I followed the guards that were walking to a room and then I heard laughter. Time to find out why they're here.
