I think I fell in love with my teacher! (Watty Awards 2013)

Chapter 7

I went home after my first tutoring session.  My parents were sitting in the living room when i walked in.  It looked like they were having a serious conversation before I walked in.

"Hi honey" my mom said.

"Hey mom....dad"

"Hi sweetie. Um...I think we should talk."

"Okay." I sat down on the couch opposite them.  I really didn't like the way this was turning.

"Honey your father is moving back into town, his company is transfering him.  He is going to need a place to stay and we were thinking that..."

I didn't need to hear anymore.  I looked at both of them with a face of anger and saddness.

"Sure.  He can stay.  Just give me my space."

With that being said, I went outside for a walk.  I really needed some air to breathe in. While I was walking down the street I wash hanging my head.  I really was not happy with the waymy life was going, but what can I do?

"Hey there cutie"

I looked up and saw Kevin walking down the street.  He really did look cute even though he was all dark and everything.

"Hey Kevin. Do you live around here?"

"Yeah I do actually.  Just around the corner."

"Oh well I guess I will be seeing you more then after all."

I think that he liked the way that sounded because he was smirking.  Both me and him walked down the street and went to the park and hung out.  He was a really cool guy to hang out with.  After a while it started to get dark.

"I have to go now.  It's getting late."

He got up off the swings we were sitting on and looked at me.

"I'll see you later Tina."

I waved goodbye to him and smiled.  I think that Kevin has a crush on me.  With that thought in mind I walked home and laughed.  Maybe things werent so bad after all.

"Ew have you lost your mind Tina?"

You know, ever since we started High School, Erica has been a pain in the ass.  All she does is complain about who I hang out with and has all these weird moments. 

"Tina Daniels, listen to me.  I thought I could handle you hanging out with Brandy and her friends, but now your hanging out with Kevin?  What the hell!  You really are going to have a bad reputation in High School."

All I did was look at her.  Just look.  She was never this way before and now Erica has become this total....total....PREP! 

"And by the way, your not having a crush on my cousin.  That is a hell no.  And besides he is an assistant teacher.  He can go to jail if something is assumed and the school gets involved.  And also..."

"OMG Erica!!!!  Shut up will you.  Your really aggrivating lately.  All you do is judge,have mood swings, and just piss me off okay.  Damn!"

Erica was quiet after that.  I think I hurt her feelings, but at this point, I don't give a damn.

Bryan picked us up again for school.  He was looking really hot.  But I guess me and him will only be having one of those teacher/student/friends relationships.

"Tina don't forget about our lesson today."

"I won't"

"What lesson do you two have together?" Erica asked.  She was quiet the whole way until we brought up that topic.

"Bryan tutors me on Fridays."

Erica made this face, as if she was trying to think of something.  Solving a problem in her head.  After we got out of the car Kevin saw us.  He came right up to me and gave me this big hug for some reason.  It made me blush.

"Hey cutie.  I wanted to talk to you for a minute."

Erica just looked at us and walked away, but Bryan definately stayed. 

"Oh Kevin this is Bry...Mr. Farber."

Kevin said hi and held his hand out for Mr. Farber to shake, but he just looked at him. Kevin drew back his hand.

"I really need to ask you something Tina."

Mr. Farber looked at us and walked away. What was his problem?

"I'm all ears Kevin."

"Well, I really like you Tina and I was wondering if you and me can, well you know, go on a date?"

I was in shock. I really wasn't expecting to be asked on a date.  Especially from someone older than me.  Kevin was a junior.

"Sure Kevin. I'd love to."

He smiled.  I guess in relief that I said yes.

"Great.  How about today after school?  I can drive you home after."

"Umm..okay.  I just have to cancel my plans for today."

"Cool.  I'll see you later."

Kevin gave me another hug and went to class.  I stood where I was and melted a bit.  This is going to be a good day.  Now I just have to tell Bryan.
