Why do these things happen to me?  I was about to get my first real kiss and my dad had to open the front door.  Of all people!!!

"Hi dad."

He just looked and saw a guy pinning me up on a car.  I gave Kevin a little nudge that my dad couldn't see.  It was a signal for him to get the hell off me and make a run for it.  But Kevin just smirked and said hi to my dad.  My Dad said nothing to him in return.

"Well thanks alot Kevin.  See you tomorrow."

Waved at him and hurried into the house.  Kevin sort of laughed at what just happened and got into his car and drove off.

"Who the hell was that?!" my dad yelled.

Oh boy. Here it goes.

"That was my friend Kevin.  He gave me a ride home."

"Why the hell were you out this late with him?"

"Dad, you don't know everything about me.  For one, I had tutoring after school so obviously I wasn't with him this whole time okay.  And he just gave me a ride home so you should be thankful that I didn't have to walk in the dark by myself."

With that being said I said goodnight to all, went to my room, and crashed.

For the rest of the school year, things just flew by.  I started growing closer and closer to Kevin, which made Brandy even more nosey than usual.  This also made me grow more distant with Bryan and Erica.  But I really don't care that much about Erica.  She isn't even the same person I knew.  I still had my tutoring with Mr. Farber, but that sometimes was cancelled do to me going out with Kevin.  He really was mad about that.  It was almost the end of the school year and I needed to have a talk with Bryan before it ended.

The final bell rang, meaning that it was the end of freshman year in High School.  I was happy as hell.  Since Kevin had to go to detention for a teacher, I took that oppurtunity to go see Bryan before I left school.

"Hey Bryan."

He was sitting in a chair at his desk.  It looked like he was doing work.

"Hey Miss Tina.  What are you doing here?  Schools out" he responded.

"I know.  I just wanted to come see you before I left school.  I just...well...I wanted to make sure there was no bad blood between us."

He look down at his desk for a good minute.  I guess thinking about the rest of the school year and how things have been.  He got up and walked up to me.  He was looking dead into my eyes.  At that moment it was as if we had a connection.  That we were suppose to be cool with eachother, or maybe even more than that.  He took another step closer to me.  I was able to smell his sweet breathe.

"Tina you ready?"

I was completely confused.  I looked at the door and saw Kevin waiting for me.  Bryan took a few steps away from me and slumped his shoulders.

"Tina there is nothing wrong.  Have a great summer." That was all Bryan said.

I looked him in the eyes as if to make sure that was what he really wanted to say.

"Tina are you coming?" Kevin insisted.

I looked at Kevin. Then back at Bryan.

"Really I'm fine." He said to me.

"I'll miss you." I said to him.

He looked at me and smirked as I turned my back to Bryan and walked to Kevin.  He took my hand and we left school.  Our summer vacation awaits.
