The Valley Where I Live

10/23/2001

1)        I live in a valley,  That has many wonders.

Most of all views,  But this is what I see.

2)        My school sits on a plateau,   On the one side of the lake; which sits in the middle.

Everyday as I sit waiting for my ride,  I look out upon what I see as beautiful.

3)         On the valley floor is our airport,  Where all forms of planes leave and land.

The Valley is speckled with farms and orchards,  Yet this area is called a desert.

4)          Right now are the colours of Autumn,  Splattered on all the hills and mountains around.

Red, orange, and yellow are thrown,  Among the variant shades of greens and browns.

5)          High upon the opposite side;  I see smaller valleys, full of colour.

They are filled with life unseen,  Yet to my imagination; I see life abound.

6)          So as I wait in the sunshine or clouds,  I see the beauty of our Creator.

No man should wast this gift,  And more should open themselves to see.

7)          These gifts are there; Why must they die?

The blessings are there; Why are they not felt?

8)          The beauty is there; Why is it not seen?

The humanity is here; Why must we fight each other?

9)           For this Blue Marble in Space is our only home.

               One People!   One Planet!   United.
