I have had many friends and acquaintances,
Both sexes represented there,
But when I met the man in my life,
All others paled to compare.
He started out as a friend of a friend,
Then we became very good friends with benefits,
With his patient demeanor with no demands,
I asked him to be my Husband.
Now we walk through life hand in hand,
To face the future together,
Always looking forward never back,
Leaving all regrets to others.
