Chapter 4: Attempted Assassination

At the Council Tree, sitting upon its branches are IcedSapphire, Akira, Apollo, and a few other birds. A Owl Finch comes hurling at them, nearly knocking them all off their perches.

Carnage_Owl Finch: Princess! Akira! You must help me, or actually you must help MoonzShadow! I know you guys think she's really cold-hearted and stuff but I think she needs help. At least I think. Or perhaps we need to stop her.... Anyway she's hurt and confused and many other things, including a bit of blood lust, but still I need your help! *looks over at Apollo* Oh, hi Apollo, nice to see you again. *smiles at him* Wait a second! There's more important things, stop being random Carnage! *looks at IcedSapphire and Akira* So! Will you help?! Please say you will!

Akira_Raven: Wait, Carnage, calm down. What was happening again?

Carnage_Owl Finch: Ok, so I was with MoonzShadow just awhile ago and for a couple days too. Anyways She has been really weak, and so I have been taking care of her. She finally gained some strength back and then she decided to up and leave.

Akira_Raven: Weak?

Carnage_Owl Finch: Yep. That's when I decided to come to you both. Because Akira you know her and well IcedSapphire, you are the princess. But there is also something else...

Akira_Raven: Something else?

Carnage_Owl Finch: Yeah... Well you see, she kinda may have said something about a new mission from the moon. And then she well she took off in this direction. I don't know what she meant, but I have pretty good feeling about it, or should I say bad feeling.

Akira_Raven: Her, condition, how was it? You saw her out of the shadows?! (Has new found mixed respect/surprise for Carnage.) She said she had a new mission.... and flew off towards the town... from where, exactly, Carnage?

Carnage_Owl Finch: Oh, well she was really tired, hungry, and in pain. Yep, I saw her, and helped her too. Oh, just about from ten cities off yonder *with wing points east* Though you'd think she'd get here first. But then again she is hurt, so she may have fallen somewhere in the trees near by. Or she could be here waiting for the time to strike or something. *Thoughtfully speaking to self* Hm... wonder what the moon wants her to do?

Akira_Raven: (Thinking to self, partially mumbling) If she was going on a venture from the moon, east, town... Apollo, come with me now. We will scan the area for Moonzshadow and see if she is nearing us. Carnage, patrol the town, if that is alright with IcedSaphire. (Looks to IcedSaphire and waits, without another second, Akira and Apollo leap off into the sky to search the area; IcedSaphire following close behind. Carnage is left with a few unknown birds; a robin, a vulture, and a set of three pidgeon guards.)

Carnage_Owl Finch: Um... Hi. Are you guys crows?

Carno_Vulture: No, do I look like a crow?

Guard_Pidgeon: I don't know a single bird in this town that is a crow.

Carno_Vulture: Yaso, can I eat him?

Guard_Pidgeon: You absolutely may not.

Carnage_Owl Finch: *laughs* You guys are funny. Besides even if you wanted to eat me you can't cause I have a friend that would kill you if you did. *sticks tongue out at them*

Silence

IcedSapphire_SnowyOwl: (Flying left of Akira) This really isn't good what if she came to kill the king! Then she will surely be doomed, I can't have that happen. I was close to losing her once,never again.

Akira_Raven: What do you mean, Sapphire?

IcedSapphire_SnowyOwl: (Shaking head) Nothing!! Anyway we have to find her before she does something that could really put her and anyone else's life in danger. Plus like Carnage said, it was a mission from the moon, which means whoever has control over Moonz mind is at work and more than likely could be an enemy of the kingdom. I just hope we get to he in time.(uses zoom vision on oak hollow, the castle) I see her. Moonz! Moonz stop! (MoonzShadow continues)

MoonzShadow as princess of this kingdom I command you to land!

Akira_Raven: Moonzshadow! Please, slow down. IcedSapphire doesn't want to hurt you!

MoonzShadow_Red-tailed Hawk: Never!

* Moonzshadow quickly dives into the castle. Landing before the king himself.*

King_Great Horned Owl: (ruffles feathers) I knew you'd be back. *looks at guards* I will handle this on my own. No one is to interfere.

*The two of them circle each other, as the others begin to fill in to the room so that they can be witness to whatever may happen*

(Akira and IcedSapphire land in the back at a perch above and behind the throne circle. They sit and watch, waiting for the time to strike.)

Akira_Raven: Moonzshadow, what are you thinking? What does the king have to do with you? Better yet, what does it have to do with the moon?

King_Great Horned Owl: I suggest you keep your beak shut. This has everything to do with her! *snaps beak at MoonzShadow*

MoonzShadow_Red-tailed Hawk: *Dodges* You're wrong you worthless old fool. It's not me who is killing the moon. But I was told that if I killed YOU, I would find out who is. *Lunges at the King*

*flies forward and snaps beak down upon Moonz wing, and then throws her across the floor of the castle.*

IcedSapphire_SnowyOwl: Father!! No more of this! MoonzShadow clearly needs to be questioned. Hurting her won't do any good, please let me question her before any further actions are taken. (Shields MoonzShadow and snaps at the King when he tries to get closer)

King_Great Horned Owl: Very well, you have until the next dawn to make her speak. If you do not acquire the information that I seek, then she shall be executed. Is that understood!

IcedSapphire_SnowyOwl: (In a sassy tone) Yes, whatever you say father! (Helps MoonzShadow help, calls Akira over and instead of taking MoonzShadow down to the prison, they take her to IcedSapphire's personal quarters)
