Chapter 9: Remembrance

Abraxas_Albino Peacock: *tapping his staff on the floor, sitting on the throne* As you all know, we are gathered here today in the castle to remember the events that took place 2 years ago. It was during this time that our dearest sister, MoonzShadow fell to the claws of our "father". She sacrificed herself so our land could prosper and prosper it has! If only she could see how well the land is doing, she would be proud of all of you. She looks down from the moon above us. We will always remember her for all of her efforts and she will always hold a place within our hearts. *bows head*

(All listening bow heads but one, a grey parrot.)

Carnage_Owl Finch: *to Gray Parrot* How rude! Why do ya not bow ya head?

Abraxas_Albino Peacock: *looks up with a scowl* What is all this commotion in this time of silence?! In remembrance of those who lost their lives to protect us AND this kingdom! Show some respect to us all! Impudence will not be tolerated. Understood? *bows again in silence*

(The Grey Parrot looks around awkwardly and waits for the silence to end. After they all raise their heads, the parrot no longer looks out of place.)

IcedSapphire_SnowyOwl: *standing next to Abraxas, she whispers* Abraxas, that grey parrot didn't look down the whole time. But more than that I've never met that bird before. I know everyone in the kingdom by name, and I have no idea who that is.

Abraxas_Albino Peacock: *nods and stands* Will the offender please come up here at once!

Najaal_Gray Parrot: *Walks up to Abraxas. Shows no sign of respect towards Abraxas' superiority* Yes,, sir?

Abraxas_Albino Peacock: Who are you? What's your name? *he says observing the Gray Parrot*

Najaal_Grey Parrot: I am Najaal. Last name? I have none. I am an acquaintance of one of yours. Well, I believe that I would be called more than an 'acquaintance in their eyes, but for your sake, just acquaintance is fine.

IcedSapphire_SnowyOwl: *Walks right up to Najaal and stares him down, getting a sense of what kind of bird is he? Can he be trusted she wonders. Shes starts to circle him* And who exactly are you referring to as an, as you say "more than a acquaintance"? Najaal with no last name...

Abraxas_Albino Peacock: *raising his wing* Easy there sister... let's hear what this bird has to say before we cast judgment... there is a story behind EVERY bird... so his seems no different... lets hear him out before we do anything... so Mr. Najaal... please explain yourself and your actions...

*IcedSapphire rolls her eyes and steps away from Najaal*

Najaal_Grey Parrot: Me? Well, I'm a bird grown up here in the town. I lived in close proximity with my peers at the orphanage. I grew up with a girl named Akira. The one who hasn't been in town for two weeks. She asked me to come to the town meeting and relay what happened. Anything else you need?

IcedSapphire_SnowyOwl: Ah, so you know Akira. Well I know her too, for quite a while now, she never mentioned you once. Also you mind your tone you are in the presence of the King!

Najaal_Grey Parrot: Yes, she seems to fail to mention me in every respect. Must I at least give her a pardon, for she has stayed mostly away from your world the past two years.

IcedSapphire_SnowyOwl: *peers at him and speaks in a sassy tone* Hmm...well I'll believe you for now. You may offer her pardon though, I can understand why she is away it has been very hard on her. However I expect you to behave accordingly from now on in the presence of the King, do you understand?

Najaal_Grey Parrot: *In his politest tone* How would you like me to address Abraxas when I only hear of him informally? It is not of my background to do so. I wish you could supply an explanation for me, if you would.
