Chapter 14: Friendly Equations

Carno_Vulture: Come on, you have to say it was pretty awesome.

Apollo_Macaw: Awesome? Awesome, Carno? No, not awesome. Necessary. That emergency case was important and you were out chatting with the worried. I love that you did that, but you don't joke about the dying!

Carno_Vulture: It was all good! He is alive and they were having fun thinking back to times all but lost. How can I be any more help? There was no harm done in the subject and they were laughing, Apollo. What more can you ask of me?

Apollo_Macaw: *Sighing, obviously losing the fight* I just wish you could have brang up another subject. That was dangerous. What if it had set one of them off?

Carno goes to Apollo and sinks his beak into Apollo's neck. He ruffles his feathers and they stand there for a minute.

Apollo_Macaw: Hey, Carno?

Carno_Vulture: *Muffled by all the feathers* Hmm?

Apollo_Macaw: I've been thinking for a while now.. and I've been spending a lot of time with little chicks lately, and they have warmed my heart, and, Celest tells me that the orphanage is getting some new additions soon. So, maybe we could...

Carno_Vulture: *Lifting beak to look at Apollo* Apollo, you know that that's a bad idea. Neither of us have the time nor experience to adopt, let alone more than one. I would, for you, my dear, but there is just no way-

Apollo_Macaw: I know you think that it will be hard but if you could just take a little more time out of your day, because you have the most free time, and stay with them, or it, until it grows large enough to fly, then I could take it into the field with me.

Carno_Vulture: Showing it those terrifying things that you have to deal with every day, why? I wouldn't wish that on anyone. That's-that's like me bringing one of Akira's to a crime scene. Apollo, I love you and your ideals, but that is just a little too farfetched.

Apollo hangs his head, defeated. It was an impossible notion.

Abraxas and IcedSapphire are scoping the woods in search of Akira after the training session that went pretty well. Of course Saph won. Fatigue started taking the two birds as the searched for hours in search of Akira.

Abraxas_Albino Peacock: Saph... we've been searching for forever now... I don't know how much longer I can keep searching...

IcedSapphire_SnowyOwl: Brother...I promise we will find her. Akira!...Akira! I know you're out there. Please come out Abraxas even brought the berries you wanted. I know you may not want to talk to me, but at least talk to him...Akira! *Looks around the tops of trees once more, she's a slight shadow* Brother look down there, I think it might be someone. (Hopefully Akira but I don't think so)

ShimmeringTopaz_Blue Jay: Oh, Sapphire and Abraxas. How are you two this evening? Are you looking for someone?

Abraxas_Albino Peacock: Well tonight is very... interesting to say the least. This whole day has just been quite a day.

IcedSapphire_SnowyOwl: Yes today has been quite a day. It's nice seeing you out and about Topa. I must ask though have you seen Akira?

Abraxas_Albino Peacock: Indeed, we are looking for her.

ShimmeringTopaz_Blue Jay: Akira? No, I don't think I have. Is there an important reason you need her. If so, I can help find her. Well perhaps I can.
