"Where is it?" I asked him, then he pointed to the closet scratching the back of his head at the door way.
I grabbed the guitar and walked downstairs. Pattie was the first one I saw who looked confused.
"What are you doing with that?"
"Just gonna take Justin somewhere new in Stratford. Is that okay?" I asked her, she smiled.
"That sounds good."
I left and got to the jeep first, when Justin came out too.
"Seriously, what are we doing? I feel bad for ditching my mom." Justin had his hands out with the keys.
"I will tell you when we get there! Now open the doors please." I asked him, shaking the door handle so he would give in.
"Whatever but if we're doing something illegal I'm blaming everything on you." Justin opened the door for me then got in the drivers seat.
"We're not doing anything illegal." I rolled my eyes.
Justin started the car and I put my seatbelt on. I told him when to turn left and right, soon enough we reached the destination.
Avon Theatre.
"K lets go." I opened the door cocking my head to the side.
Justin sat there, with a blank face. Not the face that makes me smile. But a face that makes all my emotions come back of how sad I am and that in reality I'm clueless about who I am and who Justin is.
Yeah, just that face can make me think so much.
"You coming?" I asked him, holding the door open with my foot and grabbing his guitar from the back.
Justin stared at his shoes and slowly turned his head to me.
"I'm not singing."
"Justin, please."
"Can we go?" Justin asked. I was already outside, feeling a drip of water touch the end of my nose. I wiped it with my hand and went to the other side of the jeep.
I opened the door, but Justin still wouldn't get out. He still had the keys in.
"Why won't you sing? Everyone will now hear the..." I was stopped by a hit of lightening across the sky lighting up the cloudy sky.
"The, amazing... Voice you have." It took a bit to say a compliment to him, but it was true. His voice was truly amazing.
"It's going to rain so I can't let's go." Justin looked up at the sky and turned to me.
"Please! Before it starts raining."
"Please get in." Justin patted the seat.
I rolled my eyes and got in. I slammed the door then skipped the seatbelt.
"I'm sorry."
"Whatever." I didn't want to look at him so I looked at the sky to the right window.
I waited for him to start driving, but I felt him looking at me.
"You don't understand, okay?" Justin took a pause to breath.
"I just can't sing for a crowd."
I turned my head. "You sing on your porch I'm pretty sure people can hear you from across the street."
"That's different, I hate the feeling of people watching me now, or the thought of performing makes me sad." Justin started driving.
"Why?" I asked.
"I don't know." He answered.
I know he was lying, he just doesn't want to tell me the real reason.
"Oh.." I just let it go.
We finally got back to Justin's house, when there was just a pause of silence in the car.
"I'm sorry... I guess." I told him trying to be apologetic.
It's ok. Do you want to stay for dinner?" Justin asked me, opening the door. I did as well.
"I guess so." I texted my mom, when I sent it there was another big drop on my phone of water. Soon enough it started to lightly rain quickly.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Justin asked, walking a bit to my side. The light rain turned to a down pour, you would think Justin would run inside but he just stood there with his brown eyes staring into mine.
"What?" I started walking into the house but Justin pulled my arm. Why does he want to stand in the rain?
Although it made his eyes gleam.
"I kinda want to tell you why I can't sing, in front of people."
"Okay." I answered, taking his arm to go inside because the rain was getting too loud to talk. Now I'm really soaked.
