I heard footsteps in my room, coming up beside me. I felt my sheets come up on my legs, slowly.
I opened my eyes and saw my mom trying to put my sheets on me.
"What are you doing in here?" I asked, confused on where I am since I fell asleep.
"You fell asleep really early, so I decided to come up and check on you." She said, rubbing my leg.
"Oh, ok." I replied, rolling over to my wall side.
My mom left and I dozed off again. The next time I opened them its was morning. I looked over to the clock on my side table beside my bed, it read 10:10.
I went downstairs and got my Rice Krispies. I knew today would be a boring day. When I looked at my wrist, it had a deep red cut. I promised myself I wouldn't cut anymore, because I'm better than that. But Morgan made me feel exactly what she said, a slut, bitch, worthless.
Worthless. I'm worthless.
I decided to go upstairs and get dressed. I put on some black yoga shorts and a purple muscle-tee with a yellow bandeau underneath. I then put my hair in a high pony tail with my bangs pinned up with a bobby pin.
I went downstairs to go outside and see if that package my father ordered for me a long time ago was here. I put my pink flip-flops on and made my way for the mailbox at the end of the drive way. I opened it and saw nothing.
"Shit." I thought. I was eager to see what he had ordered for me, back when he was my father.
Maybe it was a bicycle, for my sixth Easter he didn't get me anything so it might be that he ordered something for me but never came in.
Although I never liked riding bikes or being athletic in any way.
I looked over for a spilt second across the road and saw Justin sitting outside playing a guitar. He was pretty good at it, and his singing was even better.
"Lately I've been thinkin' " I heard vaguely, but it was so perfect.
"Thinkin' about what we had, I know it hard it was all that we knew, yeah."
He looked over to me, as soon as I saw him looking I pretended I was looking in the mailbox.
"Hey, you've been at your mailbox for a while. Looking for Narnia?" He asked, standing up he blocked the sun from his face to see me.
"No." I said, with an attitude. As I turned around to walk away, I felt as if someone was staring at me.
"Since you're a girl, and you have a sense in style I'm guessing. Could you go flower shopping with me?" Justin asked, sounding kinda shy. I turned around looking at him like he has 3 heads.
"Uhh. Why?" I asked.
"Well my mom wants to get flowers for outside. Since she's working today I thought I would do it for her and suprise her." He replied, looking at the ground I could tell he was shy. He was really nice to his mother, she's a really lucky mom.
"Sure I guess." I said, Justin motioned me to come into his black jeep in the driveway. I slowly walked over and got in, doing up my seat belt Justin looked at me.
"What?!" I asked, looking annoyed.
"I don't know" Justin said, he looked away and started the car.
I looked at him and his face was perfect, like I couldn't explain it. He had a perfect face I couldn't stop staring at. But I had to stop.
On the radio Lana Del Rey's song "Dark Paradise" came on. I started singing the lyrics.
"Every time I close my eyes, it's like a dark paradise" I was humming, when Justin was looking at me. Then I stopped.
"Why'd you stop?" Justin asked, looking at the road and looking at me.
"Because. You were staring at me." I said, looking out the window.
"Well because you're really good." He said.
