Heartbeats and Family moments

It's been about two hours since they took Summer back through the doors. The girls sleeping with their heads on my lap having cried themselves to sleep worrying over what's going to happen. "Dean, do you want me to call Hazel and see if she can find out what's going on?" Faith asks breaking the silence that we have been in for the about fifth teen minutes. I was about to answer her but the doctor that took her back comes out of the doors. We all stand up, but I'm slower since I have to get up without waking the girls up.

"Hi, Alpha Dean, my name is Hank." He introduces himself since he didn't have a chance to before he rushed Summer back.

"How is she?"

"Well, it looks like she wasn't feeling good and she fainted. This sometimes happens with women who are pregnant and you did the right thing to bring her in. I'll tell you the good news before I get into anything else. She and the baby are fine but we need to keep watch." He says before he leads us to a room where I see Summer sleeping on a bed. She is in a private room no doubt the work of Hazel. There is a nurse watching the girls who is from the same pack as the doctor here.

"So she is going to be ok?" Faith asks making me look back to the doctor instead of staring at my mate.

"She will be but I think it would be a good idea for her to be on bed rest until the baby is born. Now since she is a wolf she will start to feel better so she won't be on complete bed rest she needs to get up and move around as well so don't baby her, since she is an alpha female she won't like having to rest as much as she needs." He explains to us.

"So if she is fine what took so long?" I ask just now thinking about what happened.

"Well when we were checking her out it seems that and it showed that when she broke her ribs one didn't heal right and with the baby growing at a fast pace like normal werewolves do it was pushing on it causing her some pain." He explains. "So we operated on her because of it went unknown then it would have gotten much worse. So we had to operate on her." She will be fine now but keep a watch on her and if she gets worse or hasn't any problem or concerns go to the doctor immediately."

"Ok thanks." I say to the doctor before walking away to go and sit beside my mate. I take her hand in mine and kiss it.

Summer POV

I really hate the sound beep. Like why do people like to hear that sound as soon as they wake up every morning? I open my eyes and it is like a sense of Déjà vu waking up in a hospital room. I see Dean sleeping in a chair beside me holding my hand. This time I know exactly who he is and shake his hand to wake him up. "Hey you're awake." He says and I try to sit up but it hurts so I wince which makes him jump up. "Careful you just had surgery." He says and I start to panic. 'Did something happen to the baby?'

"Did... I..." I say but he cuts me off.

"No the baby is fine; they just saw a problem with one of your bones and had to fix it." He explains and I take a deep breath. "They are pretty much putting you on bed rest till the baby is born."

"What I can't stay in bed for over a month. I need to be with the girls and get ready to have this baby. Did you see everything that Eric and Jenny got for the baby? I want this baby to get what it actually needs. I want this time to be different..." I rant but Dean cuts me off my giving me a kiss.

"Will you calm down please, the doctor says that you can move around a little bit but not too much. This baby will get what it needs I will make sure of it. You and my family are the only ones that I care about if we have to order things online to make sure you are healthy then so be it. Besides we have tons of people that will help us. Those little girls back in the hotel room are going to make sure that their sibling will be happy. Ok?" he says and I thought that Jenny was the only one who liked to talk a lot in their family.

"Ok. Can I see the girls?" I ask hoping that I can. It is dark outside so I assume that it night times so they might be sleeping.

"Ya I can Faith and Damon will bring them but do you want them to come now or do you want to wait till morning because it doesn't matter to me which one you want to do. But you need lots of rest too so don't forget."

"We can wait till morning." I say not wanting to wake them beside I do kinda feel tired despite how long I must have been sleeping since I got here. "What happened though, I don't remember anything besides being at the pool." I ask.

"Well the food was tasting kinda bad and you weren't feeling good so you were going back to the room to sleep. Faith and I went to check on you and found you passed out on the floor of the room. The doctor says that must have fainted."

"Oh."

"Come on you need some sleep." He says before I lay down to go back to sleep. I hear him getting back into the position that I found him in when I woke up.

"Can you sleep with me?" I ask turning just my head since my stomach still hurts.

"Sure." He says as he climbs into the bed behind me. He lightly puts his arm around me and pushing his stomach into my back making it mire comfy for us both since theses beds are small.

The next time I wake up is to Dean trying to sneak off the bed. "Morning." I say as I sit up, my stomach feeling better thanks to my werewolf healing. "Where are you going?"

"Faith brought the girl I was going to meet them." He says after he gives me a kiss.

"Ok." I say before I lay back down. He says a quick bye before he leaves the room.

"Good morning Luna." A doctor says as he walks in the room.

"Please call me Summer I'm not your Luna so no need to be so formal." I say as I sit up.

"Alright if that what's you like." He says as he approaches the bed. "Now let's check up on your new little one." He then gets a machine ready and he grabs some jelly and puts it on my stomach. "Look here this is your little one."

"Wow." I say as I watch the screen, I can hear the heartbeat.

"Why you crying mommy?" I hear Kenzie asks and I see her walk in with everyone.

"I'm just happy see that is your new little brother or sister on there." I say as I point to the screen. Both girls look at the screen and they both have huge smiles on their faces.

"I think it's a girl." Becca says.

"Ya well I think it's a boy, I always wanted a brother." Kenzie says.

"I will be happy with whatever it turns out to be." Deans says as he joins us on the bed.

"Well, it looks like you have company, so since everything seems good, I should go. Summer you should be able to go tomorrow morning as long as nothing goes wrong." He says before he leaves the room after turning the machine off.

"That's great news." Dean says before placing a kiss on my forehead.

"Ya but we missed the party for the one of our alliance members."

"It doesn't matter about that as long as your and the baby is safe."

"I know." I say as I lean my head down on his shoulder, while watching the girls playing on the floor.

"Jut think in a few years there will be one more person in our family."
