"Worthington? Like it's supposed to mean something to me? I already known the last part but you being a Worthington, you lost me there kid." Rodin was shaking his head in disbelief. It seems that he is going to find out somehow what this whole hullaballoo was all about. He continued to stare at Lathan.

"I did a terrible thing, Mr. Morrigan. I hid things from Cerise and I will regret it forever. But this concealment was not meant to be found out this way nor was it intended to hurt anybody especially Cerise. I was going to tell her about me- the real me, until last night. I didn't know she was going to be at the Charity Ball and my mom had made a rather hasty decision to speak about things she never consulted with me. I'm sorry that Cerise had to find it out like that. "

It pained him to even go there. Cerise's fallen face will haunt him forever.

"I took over Worthington Financial Holdings about a year ago, being the only heir to my grandfather, Elias Worthington. You may recognize the name behind the university scholarship grants where Cerise is a recipient." He continued.

He knew he had to get this out of his chest and it was a good start to tell her dad. But soon enough he realized that it would be unfair for Cerise not to know first. He took her hand and held it against his chest, caressing her cheek with the back of the other hand. She still looks ethereally beautiful, his heart clenched.

"I know you need answers but that is all I can tell you right now. I want to tell Cerise everything as soon as she wakes up. I hope that is acceptable to you sir." He glanced at him with a hopeful look.

Rodin could only nod. He respected Lathan's decision to tell Cerise first. Not that it makes sense why Cerise ran off and didn't come home last night. There was definitely more to this story, but he will let it go for now. "If you don't mind, can you keep her company for a while. I need to get home and get some of her things. I didn't pack any of her clothings before I rushed here. "

"I wouldn't even think about leaving her. I want to be here when she wakes up." He answered.

"Give her some time. Don't push her when she wakes up." He squeezed Lathan's shoulder and stepped out of the room.

Dominic Carrington was going through some files when there was a knock on his door. He looked up to see his secretary peeking in.

"Miss Lockhart is here to see you sir. Should I send her in?"

He frowned at such a stupid question and waved his hand to dismiss her. "Yes, send her in. And Martha, I want you to take these papers I signed to Finance. Come back here after an hour." His stupid secretary does not have to know what he has planned for this surprise visit from Calixta. Just the thought of her creamy breasts is giving him a hard on.

Calixta walked in almost immediately as the secretary left the door wide open.
