-Alyssa Moore-
"So, remember. Cheer practice is after Mr Rueben's class, on the field." Terra said to me and gave me a slight thumbs up before leaving our last class.
"Where are you going? Class isn't over yet." I said and she laughed softly.
"I'm actually not in this class. This is a junior class. I'm a senior." Terra said and I widened my eyes. I was able to believe it, she did look like a senior. But, I just didn't know exactly why she was in this class yesterday.
"Really? Then why were you-"
"I was tracking you down all day and couldn't quite get to you. I skipped homeroom so I could come and speak to you about cheer." Terra said.
"Oh. Oh wow. I uh.. Okay." I couldn't quite think of what to say.
"Buh-bye, Mr Reuben." Terra said with high energy.
"Ugh. Go to your class, Miss Mayberry." Mr Reuben said and I looked at Terra.
Terra nodded her head a bit and walked out of class. I can't believe she skipped an entire class yesterday just to talk to me about cheer, then she stayed in the class to make sure I showed up in the right place at the right time.
"Miss Moore, if you would please pay attention to me, that would be nice." Mr Reuben said and I nodded my head.
After what seemed like forever, which in all reality was somewhere around maybe an hour, the bell rang. I grabbed my stuff and put it in my locker, then rushed outside toward the football field, but I collided with someone.
"Oh, uh. Sorry." I said and looked at the guy. He was brunette and blue eyes and a nice smile, and he looked pretty strong. I backed up a bit so that we weren't extremely close to each other anymore, then I moved aside to walk past him.
"Uh, you're that-"
"New girl. I was yesterday. Not so new anymore. Byeeee." I said, trying to sound energetic, and walked past him.
"Alyssa, right? I heard you're on the cheer squad now." The guy said to me and I smiled a bit.
"I am, actually. That's why I have to get to practice now." I said and looked back at him.
"Oh, really? It was nice to meet you, Alyssa. I'll see you around, maybe?" He said and I smiled.
"Sure. Maybe after practice or something." I said and he nodded his head.
"Maybe your practice will end around the same time as mine. I'm Hayes, by the way." He said.
"Oh! Terra has told me about you, actually. You're number 7, right?" I asked and he nodded his head with a slight smile.
"Correct. Wait.. What has Terra said about me?" Hayes asked.
"Just that you're on the football team, and that she thinks your older brother is hot." I said and he chuckled.
"Of course she'd say that. Her and Nash flirt a lot. Anyway, meet you on the field?" Hayes said and I glanced at him.
"On the field?" I asked.
"You're having cheer practice on the field, right?" Hayes said and I nodded.
"Yes, why?"
"Football practice is on the field at the same time. I think it's weird, but whatever. At least y'all will be practicing on the sidelines." Hayes said and I laughed softly.
"Alyssa! Come on! We don't have all day!" Terra said and I glanced at Hayes.
"Gotta go. Have a good practice." I said and he nodded.
"Alright. Have a good practice too." He said and I smiled before running to the other cheerleaders.
"First of all; were you and Hayes Grier just talking? Second; I have your uniform ready! Yay!" Terra said when I approached her.
"Yes, we were. And, really? That fast?" I replied.
"No way! And I told you my mom can work magic." Terra said and showed me the uniform.
"Meet me at Terrance's after practice, cool?" Hayes said as he ran past me.
"Got it." I replied and he smiled at me.
"Whoa. Hayes just asked you out on a date." Terra said and I shook my head.
"You're just exaggerating. By the way, what is Terrance's?" I said to Terra.
"Terrance's Pizza Parlor. I'll text you the directions now, but we have to practice. Okay?" Terra said and I nodded my head.
"Alright. Thanks."
